DEATH metal maybe doesn't have a message, but remember there are other kinds of metal, and if you read carefully through of the posts on the topic, you'll see FIVE FULLY DETAILED examples of meaning and message in metal. not to mention that one of them is actually THE SAME DEATH METAL YOU SO DISLIKE.
so, next time, don't be an asshole and read through other replies, and don't speak any bullshit til you can justify what you said.

Wrong. Most music have a message. Death metal bands like Cradle Of Filth especially. Try listening to their lyrics. Evil message, but a message regardless ;).

1) You can't comment on music you don't listen to. (Exception: Parents, politicians, music critics).
2) You can't seriously believe the shit they play on the radio, MTV et al. is representative of any genre. The fact that most of you wouldn't do it to people, how hard is it to expand the idea to a non-living, abstract thing like music.

I listen to a good rap groupe its called Blinde Guardian. Great guitar, drums and basse and the singer is quite cool too.

Yeah, Jazz and Classical music are by far the best music genres... If you go along the lines of saying which group has more talent, these two would win hands down. The fact that all good guitar riffs and solos come from jazz scales speaks for itself.
dude, i know what i'm saying. and by the way, Cradle of Filth is not Death Metal. it's a strange combination, titled Symphonic Black Metal. but i'd just label it Gothic Metal, if you ask me. and no, there is not much of a message in their stuff. it's usually describing a scene with vampires, demons and goth chicks. no message in this, just like in lyrics about gangstas etc.
Unleashed TBH the gangstas part sometimes people rap about there city and say its a bad neigbourhood and they are sometimes right so it gives you a warning about there city that you should look out for muggers etc.

No, no you don't know what the fuck you're saying. Cradle of filth IS death metal but it's not only death metal. It has alot of melodic, symphonic and black metal aspects to it. Since 1989 or 1991 whenever they came out they've came out with alot of songs that produce combinations of all these aspects mentioned above. And yes, they DO have a message, read their lyrics in more than one song and try to perceive it if your insignificant brain can allow it. This is why ignorance little twats like you who go around, read a page of something they think is information and then go out and think they're king shit should be shot serveral times.
Bottom line is CoF has a message in their music. As do all other musicians out there. Dolt.

p.s- no not all music has a "message". folk tales and picture books have "messages", music mostly does not.
what they DO have, could be absolutely ANYTHING (eg- SOAD song "needles", that song is about him having a ringworm) so unless you actually wrote the song, do not comment on interpretations of any song.

Most songs(Yes most, not all "Most" of course without an actual number of statistics that's just more pop sociology) have a message in their music. You just have to be able to pick out metaphors and then try to interpret the song as a whole. Jew. :P
