Lamb of God, Judas Priest and Megadeth are some of my favourite metal bands, in particular Lamb of Gods "Walk with me in hell," is my favourite metal song. As for the genre, I think it's alright, but I'm starting to listen to less and less as the years go by.
Why is this forum so metal-obsessed? Plenty of better music in the world.

That 'better music' you speak of is entirely subjective. But I disagree. Compare metal to any Pop Artist. Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Jonas Brothers, or any other faggot. Metal takes a little bit more skill.
