    Post New Album Thread

Well, i've been thinking about doing this for awhile.
It's sort of like DaCheat's thread about unheard of bands, except, instead you post new albums from bands using one of the following template(s).

Right now this is just a test to see if we can get the thread started, but remember there a few rules.

    #1 This isn't a Warez advertising thread
#2 You must provide a link to the bands, website, myspace, etc.
#3 Please use one of the posted templates to display the info.
    #4 New albums only please
#5 NO DOUBLE POSTS (Use the search function to check)
#6 Sufficent information to give the reader an idea of what they're looking at.
#7 Try keep the albumart below 600x600, just to keep the thread tidy, and be sure to spellcheck over a few times.

I'll start off with an example which you can use as a template.
If there are any mistakes, please send me a message.

“Tonight I’ll get up on the stage and all my problems seem to go away/Tonight I’ll get up in those lights and I will sing my best for you tonight,” proclaims Plain White T’s frontman Tom Higgenson on “Sing My Best,” from the album All That We Needed.

It’s not uncommon for musicians to experience a cathartic release onstage. But for singer Higgenson, the rush of performance is particularly acute. “Being up there, connecting with the fans – there’s nothing like it,” he insists.

This intense feeling may explain why the Plain White T’s are on the road nine months out of the year, plying their hook-laden alt pop to a devout, ever-expanding fan base.

    Additional Information:
“New Found Glory have always been a musical-staple of my summers. Since the release of Nothing Gold Can Stay, so many years ago, it seems that when the weather gets warm the pop-punk goodness of NFG is always close in tow. However, the band's latest album hits us as the summer months fade and the air bends to the onslaught of fall. Incidentally, the band's musical thermometer is still intact. Instead of an album full of summer-fist-pumping-anthems they've released the perfect music by which to watch the leaves fall from the trees."

    Personal Thoughts:
Well, i'd never heard New Found Glory until a couple of days ago.. Was wondering around SOUNDZ for a good album to buy and saw Coming Home by New Found Glory. Now usually I wouldn't randomly buy an album, but it was under the punk section so I thought i'd go for it.

After listening to this I was pretty much happy for the rest of the day, the album blew me away personally.
Wasn't really punk to me, but it gave me that soft feeling listening to it. It's on my playlist for good now!

    Additional Information:
New Winds began in Lisbon 7 years ago as a positive hardcore band. With time and as the line-up changed, the band committed itself to these goals: Human, Animal, and Earth Liberation.

Our first release (Around 97) was the 7" "Seeds Of Hope", completely sold-out. We released 2 Cds: The first one, "All Things Are Possible For Those Who Believe", was released around 98 and it is also completely sold out. Back then, the sound was a bit more melodic although the lyrics dealt with the same topics we still speak about at the present date. Around 99-2000 we released the tape "Refusing To Live By Your Lies" which was re-released by Still Holding On from Belgium and then released in South America by the Brazilian Label "78 Life Sudamerica Recordings". In between, we released some live tapes as benefits for Animal Sanctuaries and as benefits for Political Organizations that we deal with. We also included songs in the Commitment Worldwide SxE Compilation and in the Catalyst Animal Rights Benefit CD "The Path of Compassion" . Right now we just have some copies left of the Brazilian version of the "Refusing To Live By Your Lies" that contains 2 Extra Tracks. Right now it has just been released "A Spirit Filled Revolution" by Refuse Records from Poland, our latest CD that comes out with a 168 pages book with tons of infomation about Political Prisoners, explanation of the CD's lyrics, Links and Recommended Reading, texts from the prisoners themselves, interviews, photos, etc...

For the "The Path of Compassion" please contact Catalyst Records at: x :: catalyst records :: x

New Winds isn't just a number of people who usually step on a stage to play music or to incite thoughts regarding issues we care about.

New Winds isn't just 4 people who play instruments. New Winds is a collective of people, a feeling, a way of dedicating your self-being into awareness, into action.

New Winds isn't just us who scream words of revolution. There are too many names to mention when we think about who New Winds is.
    Personal Thoughts
This band is one of the best I've heard. They present their thoughts without eufemisms, they just say it. I reckon it will be VERY difficult to get this CD (even on eMule, yes, just did a search an there's no full CD avaliable), though by downloading you would almost be commiting a crime. This CD costs almost no money and the booklet that comes with it is just priceless. Here's a website where you can buy the CD from. It's a Portuguese band but they sing in english and the booklet is in both languages too.

Album Name: A Matter of Life and Death
    Personal Rating: *****

    Additional Information:
This 72 minute album is most likely the most progressive approach they have taken since the Seventh Son of a Seventh Son album. It is the band's longest studio album (exceeding 1995's The X Factor by approximately one minute) and its average song length (7:12 per track) makes it the longest Iron Maiden album by song average. It exceeds Brave New World's average song length of 6:41.7, and Somewhere in Time's 6:20.6. It's also one of the longest heavy metal albums with global release.

    Personal Thoughts

    Band Name: Falconer
    Release Date: 2005
    Album Name: Grime vs. Grandeur
    Personal Rating: *****
    Website: Falconer - Official Homepage
    Myspace: www.myspace.com/falconermusic

    Track Listing:
    01. Emotional Skyes
    02. Purgetory Time
    03. I Refuse
    04. Humanity Overdose
    05. The Assailant
    06. Power
    07. No Tears for Strangers
    08. The Return
    09. Jack the Knife
    10. Child of The Wild

    Additional Information:
Punctual to their almost yearly appointment with musical history, FALCONER come back with their fourth in a row album “Grime vs Grandeur” confirming the continuous writing evolution. In spite of the fact that personally I have remained stuck to the “Falconer”, and “Chapters of deception” albums with the sensational performance of Matthias Blad. Of course, if we want to be rigorously fair, his replacement, Kristoffer Gobel, is doing just fine, and he seems by now totally in harmony with the band (he was enrolled with concise procedures in “Sceptre of deception” and he went almost straight to the studio), while a large proportion of the new compositions are owed to him (at the same time he took care of the verse part). The chronic disease of the member change that has been deploring FALCONER has stiked again and the result is that Magnus Linhardt (bass) and Jimmy Hedlund (guitars) are newly arrived members in the coressponding places of Andres Johansson and Peter Johansson, which have been demilitarized by the mastermind of the band, Steffan Weinerhall (leader of the always popular and unforgettable MITHOTYN). At least, let us wish to the present line-up of the band to prove ideal and be spared of any further blows.
And now to the point: the ten tracks of “Grime vs Grandeur” keep devoutedly to the conditions set by themselves: sparkling riffs full of substantial themes, proverbial rhythm section, fantastic production rivalling of the best that the genre has to show, imaginative changes of rhythm, a few acoustic passages in comparison to the first days of the band, distinct obsession to the roots of Euro power and imagination that overflows every time that a new riff swallows the previous one. Let me note that their course leads to the summit of the most important new representatives of heavy metal, that is in the strategic point around the holy monsters of our music. But, the fact that they are getting nearer to the pantheon doesn’t mean that there is no more room for maturity and improvement. In any case, the album is full of remarkable compositions with the least worthless motives, enlisting in the most precious ones the “Emotional Skies” (ideal introductory track with a catchy refrain), the “Purgatory time” (technique a la RUNNING WILD), “No tears for strangers” (the best performance from Kristoffer, sometimes he touches perfection), “The return” (definite reference to the double solos of JUDAS PRIEST), “Jack the knife” (straight in your face metal hymn), “Child of the wild” (the new hit for the metal clubs all over the world).
Now, it is logical of you to think how the aforementioned can be combined with a downright 4,5 which may disorientate those who have been accustomed to judge and decide having just a look at the grade. It’s very simple, I have great expectations from FALCONER (they were the ones that have set such high standards) so I keep my distances from higher grades awaiting their next steps.

    Band Name:Into Eternity
    Release Date:October 3rd,2006
    Album Name:The Scattering of Ashes
    Personal Rating:****
    Website:Into Eternity official websiteMySpace:www.myspace.com/officialintoeternity

    Track Listing:

    1. Novus Inceptum (intro)
    2. Severe Emotional Distress
    3. Nothing
    4. Timeless Winter
    5. Out
    6. A Past Beyond Memory
    7. Surrounded By Night
    8. Eternal
    9. Pain Through Breathing
    10. Suspension Of Disbelief
    11. Paralyzed
    Additional Info:

The new (fourth) album 'A Scattering Of Ashes', their second for Century Media, is another killer album. Just like the 'Buried In Oblivion', the band managed to make another groundbreaking piece of work. An ultra tight cacophony of sound (every here and then we may compare Into Eternity with the legendary Death) will cut you by the throat, but just as you think it is all too much, a catchy chorus, a groovy riff, or a nice acoustic part is filled in, taking care keeping your attention until the end of the album. Another important part if IE's music are the unique background vocals. They are very high and very catchy, and they make Into Eternity's music very recognisable. However, the most entertaining parts of the album are the instrumental parts. Prog metal in its purest form and I really do not think you will be hearing any better prog music this year! Each song, when listening to the unearthly guitar solos and blasting drums, makes you dazzle on your feet.

The combination of catchy, melodic metal and raging thrash completed with excellent song writing and a perfect sound will certainly gain them a lot of worldwide respect. A tremendous album that deserves to be picked up by a larger public.

    Personal Thoughts:
I just bought it after my job and made it spin 2 times. It's an awesome album.Anyone into melodeath, prog metal or even power metal should give'em a try.

    Additional Information:
Having built a reputation as one of the most explosive acts in American extreme music, Darkest Hour returns with yet another good showing in “Deliver Us.” Each of the elements of the band’s sound is emphasized over the course of eleven massive tracks – whether you enjoy the band for the band’s strong sense of dynamics, its focus on melody or the penchant of the group to create insurmountable walls of metallic might, you’ll find this record to be exactly what you expect from Darkest Hour.

Devin Townsend is back behind the boards for “Deliver Us,” his years of studio experience bringing an overpowering feel to the album. Featuring production qualities that put the rhythmic aspects of Darkest Hour front and center, tracks such as “Demon(s)” and “An Ethereal Drain” kick you in the chest with a dose of overwhelming power. Townsend is fast becoming one of the go-to producers in metal – when you hear “Deliver Us,” you’ll know exactly why. Townsend has an acute sense of sonic light and shade that makes the vibrant, driving tones of “An Ethereal Drain” stand out so prominently. As a result of Townsend’s sharp production, Darkest Hour shift gears seamlessly between, colorful melodic breaks to fully-fueled double-kick thumping without a hitch.
