    Old Rap VS New Rap

Hey, what do you guys think was better? The old rap from before or the new one.

In my opinion the old rap was 100x better.
Lil wayne and those idiots killed rap.

    What do you guys think?

I don't think theres any rappers out there that can replace Tupac, Eazy E, Biggie.

This is the reason for the shitty rap season.

Its actually a matter of if the artist was strongly influenced by the old school rappers. Old school rap has that old rapping style but the lyrics are amazing.
Theres rappers today that are really good too. But the ones on the more mainstream level just suck.

Re: Old Rap VS New Rap

Today's rap isn't really even rap in my opinion. Its just singing ... not rapping.

Lil wayne is a perfect example...
    1) He uses the same lines for like 10 songs.
Example: "Money and the power" "Shower" how many times did he rhyme those?
    2) They use lines from other rappers
    3) Its all fake, They rap about their fairytale life.
Old rap they rap around real shit going on. Not fairytales.

These are the only good rappers left...
    - Eminem
    - Immortal Technique

But those 2 are still nothing compared to
    - Tupac
    - Eazy E
    - Biggie
    and etc

Re: Old Rap VS New Rap

Search for Immortal Technique he's a fairly new age rapper and is probably one of the best I've heard of. Anyway, old out-weighs new with both quality and quantity. I'd gladly accept a trade of Tupac, Notorious BIG and Eazy-E for 50 cent, Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy... I mean seriously, how can you rate them more than shit? The problem is you have to search for good rappers nowadays when you really shouldn't have too.

Note: I posted this about 2 hours ago, but when the bastard site went down it never posted.

Wow, Immortal Technique is pretty good. There's something about his lyrics which makes you want to keep listening, it's unique. I saw a video about a month ago, like some teenager rapping, I think his Youtube account is 2coldkingpin. He's not like Immortal Technique, but he's not bad.

That was the first song I heard of his, I remember when it got to the end it gave me goose pimples it gripped me that much. "You never know" also gripped me like that and I was quite sad after that lol.
