Because it's a Candy Shop, and lolipop (candy) is slang for penis regarding this song.

    - Kind of self-explanatory 0.o ..

Sure rap has seen bad times but you cant give up on it, i mean just look at the true rappers : tupac, lupe fiasco, kanye west and youll see what i mean. Eminem is also a good example, for he rapped about what he believed.

What about Bone Thugs 'n' Harmony?

YouTube - Bone Thugs-N-Harmony- First of the Month
YouTube - Bone Thugs-N-Harmony - Change The World (Extented Version)

Oh and, what you hear nowadays is called Hip-pop.

    Re: Rap

We remember them all, at least I do and the hip hop community nowadays is SICKENING. I was having a conversation with my friend and he thinks lupe fiasco sucks just because he hasnt sold out as much as soulja boy. Thats true, oinly because we let it be. A new kid comes in claiming the title rapper and sells 10mil while lupe sends a message, hes been in the game for a while, and although hes worth something, people hate him. Nowdays to most people its all "the beat" or the gay dance that comes with it.

    Re: Rap

I think rap is only good if it's used towards a purpose or if theres real meaning in the song, alot of rap is just made for entertainment so the rapper can get rich, and theres nothing wrong with that buisness, but rap like Immortal Technique has some real meaning in his stuff and he's not trying to get rich off it.

    Re: Rap

Lupe Fiasco - Shouldn't be even mentioned in this thread. He is a great artist but saying he is one of the best is a insult. Sure "The Cool" was a great album, but compared to his last album, He just stepped his game up.

Kanye West - I can understand him, He has proven everybody wrong. He has a swag of his own that is known world wide.

Jim Jones & Dipset Camp - I have every single dipset mixtape & album. It may not necessarily be good music to one person but to the people who understand them, and there struggle can relate. Honestly, coming off of a independent label and still going platinum and gold is rediculas. They are doing better then most artist signed too the major labels (Universal,Sony BMG,Def Jam,Rock`A Fella, Etc..). They also manga to stay in touch with there roots, And support the people who supported them when they were just starting out. Dipset is entertaining, Juelz is a beast on the mic, Camron Is a beast, 40 Cal, Freeky, Hell Rell, Jr. Basically there whole camp is sick. They bring that swagga that new york's been needing since jay fell off. They were the ones stepping up too the plate keeping ny alive.

Nas - Hands down one of the greatest rappers to date. Need i say more?

Jay Z - Same with nas.

Wu Tang - One of the best groups to bless the mic. But they fell off.

I am not going to go into detail about the rappers who have passed away. Or fell off.
But saying rap is dead because they talk about sex, drugs, money is ignorant. Thats like telling sombody not to talk about what they know. One of the best rock musicians of all time, Bret micheals talks about sex on tour, Drugs, and having sex with hot girls just as much as the next rap artist does but when it comes to bret its good music? Im not going to lie hip hop hasnt been the same in a while, Between record sales, and beef. But hip hop wouldnt be hip hop without The soulja boys, The dj unks, the T.i's The Ludacris, Id prefer hip hop over rock n roll anyday because I grew up around it my whole life And i understand them. Of course sombody who grew up around rock n roll is gonna like rock n roll. You just dont all of a sudden start liking somthing period.

More later, gotta go cook a hot pocket.

    Re: Rap

I prefer old school rap, i.e: big daddy kane, marley marl, run dmc, mc hammer, public enemy. And yeap, you're right this music is getting crappy now, all they seem to talk about is getting laid and money, that's what you call bad music, it's better when the artist makes it original and they actually talk about life, and not about screwing a bitch.
