Akon and whoever that guy is shouldn't be considered rap. The only rap i believe is truly rap is, gangsta rap, Jay-Z, Bad boy Records, NaS and the Aftermath.

are you fuckin kidding? dont even get started on that, ive started a topic about that and you only say that because you listen to soulja boy once and thats your image of rap. rap does make statements if you find the right song and listen to the lyrics

Yes, there's tons of rap that can be considered crap, narcissistic, fake and just plain idiotic. But there is also tons of rap that actually has great lyrics, great beats, etc. Then again, it's music, and music is very subjective. Some people may really like soemthing you really hate.

Your comment is pretty much based on, "pop rap," which I agree, is pretty much useless, but you cannot say, "all rap is crap.."Run DMC, snoop, 2pac, all greats out there.

Can you give examples??? So far you're just running your mouth trying to sound big. If you're going to have a voice in the music lounge that people can even come close to respecting, you'll need to back up your words. Otherwise you're just a little boy playing in a big mans world.
