    Recording Equipment Help

Past few months, I've been using an AKG 200 Perception microphone connected to a computer through a little USB plugin to record guitar + voice, or guitar and then voice. Either way.

Problem is, this has always been over a friend's house, and I need some decent recording stuff of my own now.

That particular microphone is awesome, great sounds, durability is excellent, our tones went well - though there was background noise at times - unknown.
But the AKG200P was bought at around

Also if you're recording through your computer's sound card you'll want to get a Shure A95UF transformer at some point to go with the SM58, and maybe a microphone pre-amp.

Shure PG48 and Shure PG58. These Mic.s are great.

But any mic will sound good if you know how to record properly. Make sure the room you're in has a very dead sound.

    A. Never buy anything from Best Buy. It's all over priced crap.

    B. Secondly if your software and mic are under $100 it's probably crap.
