Rock Isn't As It Used To Be ....

Me Personally I Love Rock From The 80's - 90's.

My Absolute Favourite Band Whom I Have Seen Live Are Bon Jovi.
Jon Bon Jovi Is A Lyrical Poet, His Lyrics Are Deep And Sound Good To The Ear.
Richie Sambora's Guitar Style Combines The Best Of The Blues, With The Best Of Rock To Provide Ass Kicking Guitar Solo's.

Nowadays - I Get Sick Of This Death Metal, Punk, Metal And Any Of The Other Shitty Music They Spew Forth Nowadays.

Rock Should Be About Relaxing And Enjoying The Music.
If I Tryed Listening To The Shit Nowadays For More Than 15 Seconds My Ear Drums Would Perform Mutiny And Explode - Killing Me Instantly.

feeling that somehow the music they listen to is better

looking down on other genres as if they are some kind of musical genious

And whatever happened to good ol' fashioned guitar solo's? What happened to shred? Walking the Pentatonic scales? Killer riffs? It's all gone! That Tom Delonge guy from B182 aint helping either. Just because he got an endorsement from Gibson, doesn't mean that he could go around playing shitty music and get loads of respect and fame. I would serriously want to see him play a solo by Yngwie Malmsteen. I bet 100 grands that he CAN'T do it. What a waste of oxygen he is. Tom's been playing for so long too! The best I've heard from him is Stay Together For The Kids. The intro riff is the most he can do with his guitar. Shame.

I can only imagine what the music scene would be like in a few years. When all the good bands that are still making music retires. Guns n' Roses, Velvet Revolver, Iron Maiden, Ozzy(who's retiring after this year's ozzfest)...

the best rock was from the 70's to the early 90's if u ask me. I wasn't alive during then but I listen the rock. What the crap is PUNK ROCK. It's nothing and it shouldn't be consisdered rock at all.

The guitar solos are still there, u just gotta look past all the bands that have exponentially multiplied to get to the good stuff. Actually the reason i think that it looks bad now is that before (the era of rock you're talking about) is when it was just spreading and their was that one-three diffrent distinct style of music that dominated the airwaves , True Hard rock, thrash and hair metal. But now, its not crappy, its just that theres like half a million diffrent genres of music that people make up mentally challenged names for.

Before, u actually had good bands signed to labels (too many to name) but now, any John Doe with a guitar in his hand and a pretty face can get a record deal.

bah ive blabbled on too much =(

i like all kinds of stuff, but who can compare to iron maiden, they are the kings!!!!!

i do care for the new stuff, but overall the old stuff wins anyday.

its your opinion that you think new rock sucks, i think that your wrong.

it isn't your style so you think it sucks.

like for instance i think rap sucks, its my opinion, to someone else that is wrong.

its all what you prefer, but i have to agree on this new "punk" music, its all about how many ties i can fit on my neck, or how many times the scissors missed one part of my hair and let the other part grow down to my cheek.

the band that hasnt changed at all that we should all respect is the red hot chili peppers.

they combined funk with rock and even threw in some old school rap, every song they have made i like.

my advice is just listen to what you like, who cares if it is labeled stupid or lame, music is about expression and individuality.
