I can understand why you dont like My chemical romance, blink, and sum41. But FFAF are far different, lyrical and style wise. There far more mature.

FFAF are in no way new school punk! Ill defend this for ages hehe. There a pretty heavy band at times, they just have alot of variation which is why I like them so much. Like I hate death metal for its screaming, but in small doses like in FFAF I can handle it.

emotioal rock is in the punk category.

they focus around root-fifth and power chord progressions through most of their music and usually only focus on 3 notes.

very simple music that is rebelling against something hence punk.

punk can range from emo to grindcore and crustcore, which most is pretty bad IMO.

i like old-school punk, hardcore, and a little bit of the offspring

And whatever happened to good ol' fashioned guitar solo's? What happened to shred? Walking the Pentatonic scales? Killer riffs? It's all gone! That Tom Delonge guy from B182 aint helping either. Just because he got an endorsement from Gibson, doesn't mean that he could go around playing shitty music and get loads of respect and fame. I would serriously want to see him play a solo by Yngwie Malmsteen. I bet 100 grands that he CAN'T do it. What a waste of oxygen he is. Tom's been playing for so long too! The best I've heard from him is Stay Together For The Kids. The intro riff is the most he can do with his guitar. Shame.
I can only imagine what the music scene would be like in a few years. When all the good bands that are still making music retires. Guns n' Roses, Velvet Revolver, Iron Maiden, Ozzy(who's retiring after this year's ozzfest)...

The guitar solo's are still around... like the darkness, in my opinion they are a top band
