I love gibsons, the freakier the better! For comparison I have a 1976 Explorer, '80 V2, '84 V, '91 V, '86 Explorer Bass and of course the Dusk Tiger (my first "Les Paul").

He plays on Paul Reed Smith (PRS) guitars.
The model ofcourse looks a lot like the Gibson Les Paul model, but it's definately different.
In addition to that he also has his own signature guitar line with PRS.

Buckethead (Solo guitarist, former 'member' of Guns N Roses and my personal #1 favorite)
Slash/Angus Young (Guns N Roses/AC DC, 2 EXCELLENT guitarists that also have style!)
Tom Morello (Audioslave, this dude is the absolute KING of special effects)
Jimi Hendrix (No extra text needed this man's legend speaks for itself. R.I.P)
Eric Clapton (Cliffs of Dover anybody? This man is a close contender for GOAT!)
Eddie Van Halen (I believe the same goes for Eddie that goes for Jimi here)
Jeff Beck (Any true lover of guitars will know who this man is instantly. A CLASSIC.)
Jimmy Paige (Led Zeppelin. Nuff said.)
Zakk Wylde/Dimebag Darrell (Perhaps the greatest of the heavy metal genre?)
I may be missing a few but those are ones that I can recall off the top of my head.
Edit: Added Dimebag and Angus in correlation to the guitarist I think they resemble.
