My favorite band next to QoTSA, had the pleasure of seeing their show front row in November and Ritzy gave me her pick after the show, preorderd their new album for my birthday.

I have seen this band in concert twice.

The local radio station I listen to does a concert every December, and this band was on the lineup. I didn't think much of it, I was happy to see some other names on the list. We got there during the first band and I think they were the second band. They rocked the stage. It was a great performance, and even though I had only heard one of their songs before, I really enjoyed all of the songs they played.

Again this year they came back to the concert in December. The radio station gave them the same crappy spot in the lineup. I only wanted to see two of the bands playing, and that was Fun, and The Joy Formidable! So we made sure to get there early again and they did not dissapoint. I think they put on a better show than the final act (Silversun Pickups)

I hope next time they are in Dallas its a solo tour. I really don't want to have to sit through a crappy set by Passion Pit again to see the awesomeness of The Joy Formidable, - but I would if that is what it took.

Yeah this was pretty awesome. Glad I finally got around to taking a listen.

Brings back some amazing memories of just chillen with all my friends, on the beaches during sunsets these past two summers. :)

Just an update. Saw them again with my date yesterday. We got to meet the band and joined them on stage for their private soundcheck. It was fucking amazing! Ritzy is so sweet, and Rhydian/Matt are hilarious.
