I didn't know GERMANOTTA STEFANI J was her actual name so yes she does take hand in writing her songs, and does receive royalites, but live shows don't mean anything. With melodyne and auto tune you can have whatever you sing triggered to midi notes tuning you on the fly.

With you you can just program your whole song. If you're within a full note length of the right note it will automatically tune it. Not saying that's what she did before, just saying that's what all the major stars do now.

What I meant by 'early videos' are the videos of her before she was famous performing acoustically at talent shows and whatnot. She really isn't a bad singer at all. And to be fair auto-tune has come under a lot of criticism more recently, just look at Jay Z's 'Death Of Autotune' for example.

The only reason Auto tune has gotten some heat is the way people are using it. I kid you not when I say every single song you hear has been tuned. When used correctly you can't tell it was used, and that was the whole point.

Now people are using it to get this stupid T-Pain effect. Which you can obviously hear. It's annoying and I wish would go away.
