YEah I have the same problem, but for me the l2server.exe stays on the process list (task manager) for a while like, 2 mins or so, then just quits, if I try to load up NPC server it just gives me an error since the l2server isnt on...Quote:

ok first, you need to fix your lin2db "server" table and second wait 30second after u launch every one of them.. right click n press refresh couple of times till your computer runs fast again then when you launch l2server.exe and l2npc.exe you have to wait like 5mins for l2server window to show or npcQuote:

I load L2logd, Cached, L2AuthD, PetitionD, then when i load L2 Server, no window pops up. computer slows down a hell of alot. is a window supposed to pop up? same with l2npc
Anyone know?
and to see them you have to right click on the tab at bottom of l2server and select maximize window otherwise its most likely not to show up...
As above wait for 5 mins till one loads then open l2server wait till it reaches the part where it sais "html files cached" or somethin like that then launch npc and wait 30mins for it to load all the npcs and if your computer is shit slow dont do anything until it refreshes n runs at decent speed againQuote:

I was having the exact same problem as paradiss, but that was because I followed the other guide on here....will try yours doemondo and see if that fixes it :)

Open the files in the following order.
L2LogD.exe
File DB = lin2log
login name = your SQL account
password = your SQL password
noob question: i tried EVERY login and password and nothing... what can it be?
you havent set your permissions to SQL setup correcty?
I just used the sa master account that sql setup when i installed it, that was by far easiest
heyy my computer broke after i changed the boot.ini file... It just keeps restarting, any ideas?
I believe i changed it from

to
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /3GB

Like i said, upgrade to SP2 and the issue is fixed
I load up the server and everything, but when I go to start up the L2npc.exe it gives me an error.
"Program encountered a problem and had to close"
I went to details and it said the problem was with ntdll.dll
dose anyone know how to fix this, ty.

My SQL can work, but its better to use MsSql
It would be impossible to run it with MySQL because I believe the L2 OFF server uses stored procedures as well as that dns crap >.>.
Ugh i havent even sucessfully installed mssql :( all these errors and stuff.
Errors on install = you have wrong version of MSSQL
You need MS SQL 2000 Developer (NOT ENTERPRISE)
