Chronicle Server Setup Simplified

Hm... everything is working great... but...

I'm running in 640x480 resolution right now... o.O
For some reason, everytme I add "/3GB" to the end of my boot.ini and restart, it loads up in 4bit colour (lmao) and 640x480 resolution. If I try to change this in the display properties, nothing happens. If I remove the "/3GB" from my boot.ini and restart, I can change the resolution, colour, etc., but I wouldn't be able to run the server. Anybody have any problems like this?

System specs:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
2x512MB DDR333 Dual Channel
120GB SATA
ATI Radeon 9600XT
Windows XP Pro SP2

You need the /3gb

The only problems I had is when I was on SP1, worked fine on SP2 for me...
Send microsoft an email LOL i dont know whats going on

I have SP2, i even checked and it says I do.

so is there any other reason for this, or dose no one know?

Btw, why do we have to use Developer Edition instead od Enterprise Edition?
Anyone can run the server with enterprise edition so far?

Enterprise Edition is only for NT so if your on XP u need the Developer version of SQL

but I can install and run Enterprise Edition on my winXP, just haven't tried to run L2 Off server yet.

If you have enterprise, it would have either crashed on install or when you tried to run it...
So IF you can setup L2 Off server on XP, its not Enterprise Edition :)

hey guys im new here and i followed this guied to the point where i got everything running good but icannot get past the select server screen.

right now im only interested in playing on lan so i don't think id have to open up ports right?

str your probably going thru your external IP somewhere so you DO have to open ports, that would be a firewall issue...
