L2 is not a cpu hog, it is a memory and bandwidth hog. so really is up to you. however keep in mind, any other apps you run IIS, spyware, antivirus all take up cpu time, so choose wisely depending on your load. I run dual core processors.d.

First of all, thanks for the release karnage! Before this i didnt want to try to run a l2 server, it just felt like too much hard work to get it running. But now i have decided to give it a go, and after 2 days of work i have most of it working (i think). There's 1 problem though which i would like some assistance with solving:

The error is that i cant log in to the world server after creating the first char with the client. It simply hangs at the server select window. When i try to create the char, it doesnt change to the char, but if i press "create" again it shows that the char is made, because the name is taken. When i press "previous" i cant see the char i just created, and when i log out i cant ever log in to the world server again on that account. Auth works fine though. It looks like it is a server side issue, not client side, because i get the same error if i try to log in with walker on my server. I used the L2cp to create accounts, not L2ASP (had problems with getting IIS to work). Can this make a difference? I get an error message in CacheD.exe, but i dont think it's related to this, as it comes when i log in on accounts without any chars too. It's this error message:

What must i do to be able to log in? Im using engine.dll and window.dll from EngineC4v2.rar and Nwindow.dll from c4server-is-it.rar (the one by hami) if you think this might do a difference. And how can i solve that other error?

*edit*: Error report: The file PC_Parameter.txt is missing from the file pack.

When you are building your Data base, use the Lin2World and Lin2DB located in a sub Dir of the server files, not the ones in the DBscript folder,(There Chinese I believe) I would redo all the Data base to be sure, and always execute the ODBC.reg located in your server files, this updates your system reg.
I had similar problems and searched for days to find these answers, I hope it helps and saves others time.
This pack works great and is the best share I have seen.

Dont need lin2log, or LogD (dont use it :p). Petition doesnt work, so you dont need it :)

You still need to add them all, just when u add Lin2world and Lin2db use the others in the folder as in my last post.

CyberFire, plz stop asking for a guide... the C1 guide is fine i've used it and it works fine for me... its nothing different u just need to use ur brain ^^

There is no difference between a C1 guide and a C4 guide, all stuff is the same to create ur server....
