Client Graphics Bug

Hello and my apologies for the nature of my help request, I think this is not the proper place to ask for this kind of help but I'm pretty desperate and if there is any place I might get actual help this is it...

I have this problem on my dekstop pc with any version of MU, on any server (even global) and in any resolution or display mode.

The following screens are actually taken on my attempt to play on global:



Before you go on with the standard suggestions these are the things I have tried so far and none of it makes any difference:

1. Graphics Drivers Updated
2. Frameworks 3.5 and above installed
3. All MS C++ Redist. Installed from 2005 to present
4. All possible DirectX versions installed/updated.
5. Tweaked NVidia 3D settings in every possible combination.

And the most weird part of all, I've setup a VM running win XP and the game runs just fine there which means my hardware is definitely not the problem.

My Specs are these:
CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k 4.0Ghz
MoBo: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming
RAM: Corsair DDR3 16GB @ 1600Mhz
GPU: Asus Strix NVidia GeForce GTX 960 4GB
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

I have found a couple of people with the same problem around google but no solutions. I have also sent a ticket to webzen but I haven't got any replies. If any of you have any ideas I'd be grateful...

Unfortunately no, the interface bug is usually a laptop issue related with the integrated Intel graphics card, in my case there is only one GPU and it's nvidia.

try reinstallling gpu
or uninstall it completely
try different compatibilities
try runing the game with diff options from ur gpu

Oh yeah, forgot to mention I also tried the windows compatibility setting as well as running the game as admin.

then install it back

It happens in all versions and all servers (tried a couple of different private ones too), its not a client thing, something on my pc is the problem and it feels more like something is creating a conflict rather than something missing. That is last thing is only an assumption of course :P

try and buy new pc because maybe your driver have some problems with this game if you said with all version you have same problems this is a problems from your system not from game

first you need to have good windows clean with no error and virus second you need to have the original driver from the original cd second install all the version from Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributabe 2005/2008/2010/2012/2013/2015 and final install the version Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 and DirectX 11.2 if you have windows 10 then install DirectX 12 but windows 10 is new and failed when it comes to games

Believe me Masteru no one is more frustrated than me with this issue... I know its something about my system, either software or hardware related and not the game's fault, obviously... But I have found another two cases identical to mine around the internet just without any solution suggested. The reason I'm asking for help here is in hopes of finding someone who had the problem and found a solution to it.

I know I sound dismissive of any solutions offered so far but that's only because I've spent a week actually trying all these stuff and many other crazy ideas I thought might correct the problem. And all that on a PC that should be able to run 10 mu clients without a sweat...

Anyway I thank you all for your replies, it was much appreciated in contrast with the lame auto-response I got from webzen.

Hello, I have downloaded and installed MU online but I am unable to play as I have a problem with the graphics. The attached screenshots should give you a clear view of the problem.

I have searched everywhere to find a solution but nothing worked. As an indication these are all the steps I have followed so far:

1. Updated graphics drivers.
2. Installed all Microsoft C++ redistributables from 2005 to present.
3. Installed all versions of DirectX.
4. Installed all .NET frameworks 3.5 and above.
5. Tweaked the Nvidia Control Panel 3D options in every possible combination.

None of the above affected the problem to the slightest. Also it is worth mentioning that I tried to test run the game in a Virtual Machine operating Windows XP and it did work as it should, which means that my hardware is capable of running the game 100%. However a VM uses a lot of resources to run and this is not an acceptable solution at all.

My computer is a desktop PC and its specs are the following:

We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your concern and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We have received reports that MU Online has compatibility issues with Windows 10 and as of now, we are still looking for a definite fix for this issue. For now, what we can suggest is trying to run the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3).
Rest assured that we will keep you posted when we come up with an update regarding this issue on the MU Online homepage.

dont expect webzen to help you lol, if this happens on all versions then its not webzen's fault either.

Try original wz client, if still bugged, than reinstall the windows with clean install, windows 7, dont install any driver just let the windows update to work, and install the basic stuff.

A friend of mine has exactly the same problem... But when he start season 6 episode 3 client, it works normally. We tried season 9 episode 2 and it does the exactly same thing, totally garbled graphics. I tried to find a solution, but no luck.

Can anyone help ? Maybe some dll injection which can solve this ?

Maybe install directx on the machines.

The machines has dedicated GPU ? Videocard? Or onyl CPU integrated?

The machine has dedicated GPU Nvidia GTX 1070. Directx 12 is default in windows 10 and he is unable to install any other version there.

Right so, than he has integrated gpu too? Check the bios, and if yes than disable the integratet videocard, and everything will works fine.

The problem is mostly appears under AMD videocards, I have never seen problem on NVidia

Internal intel graphic processor is disabled under BIOS. Any other ideas ?
