Do you've any instructions on installing the sql scripts, is this through the config manager?
Do you've any instructions on installing the sql scripts, is this through the config manager?
In your first post you say Install SQL Server first of all!; Do you've specific details of what to download and where i am obtaining these files from?
The instructions from that user for this server are completely different and refers to restoring the database by accessing a file with an extension bak, since this server doesn't have those bak files and also doesn't allow the database file MuOnline_EX501.sql to be restored, the instructions aren't quite clear. Considering your last update on the first post was ast edited by SmileYzn; 30-03-18 at 01:34 AM. Reason: UPDATE 3 a lot has changed since then.
I've installed the 2 applications as requested and installed the studio.
Its up and running and now at the part o restoring the database, how do i proceed from this point?
Thank you.
bro @frosty2007, go into this folder MuServer_EX501\Tools you will see *.sql files.
1. MuOnline_EX501.sql - as state by bro @SmileYzn that you need to click 2x or double click the file.
- Then learn how to execute the query. if you dont know search on how to do this query execution.
2. MUCastle_DATA.sql - do the same as above.
also advise on you, stop asking question related to installation. please do this in help section.
because we should only report bug or request related to this mu server files.
Its very clear that the instructions for this server haven't been updated in over a year, its certainly a bug when the instructions are out of date. Double clicking the files opens the studio and shows the SQL file. From there it doesn't do anything else. This forum and members like you have changed the way people communicate, it used to be friendly with people helping rather than asking them to go elsewhere. Disappointed.
@SmileYzn Why are the files all in a different language? Is there an option to change to English?
So I followed the instructions on this page http://forum.ragezone.com/f196/setup...on-1-a-607638/ for installing SQL 2008. Everything is installed.
I run the SQL Server 2008 R2 and connect to a local server.
In the list on the left side I click Database twice.
I then create a new Database called MuOnline
I select that MuOnline folder and in the menu bar I click Open File and Choose MuOnline_EX501 then I press Execute
Did I do something wrong at this stage?
I get this error:
The module 'UFN_MD5_ENCODEVALUE' depends on the missing object 'master..XP_MD5_EncodeKeyVal'. The module will still be created; however, it cannot run successfully until the object exists.
The module 'UFN_MD5_CHECKVALUE' depends on the missing object 'master..XP_MD5_CheckValue'. The module will still be created; however, it cannot run successfully until the object exists.

Ok the server startup has all green so it looks like everything is running, definitely the ODBC issue.

@muhyul
How did you go with these settings?
serverlist.txt <----- updated with my IP
MapServerInfo.txt < ----- updated with my IP
DataServerPASS <------ updated with my sql password
JoinServerPass<------ updated with my sql password
UDP/TCP Port<------ allowed at firewall
UDP/TCP port<----- added in port forwarding.
Main.txt<---- "22687" // Versão (HEX)
I've made the changes to my local ip address and it still says disconnected from server.
For me i save my server files at C:\ so here it goes.
C:\MuServer_EX501\ConnectServer\serverlist.txt
C:\MuServer_EX501\Data\Move\MapServerInfo.txt
C:\MuServer_EX501\DataServer\DataServer.ini
C:\MuServer_EX501\JoinServer\JoinServer.ini
Karli have this on the tutorial that linked above. but when you run the startup the firewall allow will pop-up.
UDP/TCP Port<------ allowed at firewall
UDP/TCP port<----- added in port forwarding.
Main.txt<---- "22687" // Versão (HEX)
C:\MuServer_EX501\Tools\Client\Main.txt
@muhyul So in the files you've marked I changed the IP address the IPv4 Address?
bro @frosty2007, yes you need to change by your IPv4.
below is the answer from smileyzn for other info.

bro, @SmileYzn do you have the socket option correct config of mumaker? would you mind sharing?
i have tried several mumaker from here but unable to find working with your 5.5 files. thanks in advance.
@muhyul @SmileYzn
How come the server files are in a different language and not English? Do you've a manual or the source to change the Server files into English?
As suggested by @muhyul IPv4 was selected for the details below:

C:\MuServer_EX501\Data\Move\MapServerInfo.txt

It's still interesting how your first post @SmileYzn doesn't explain how to connect the client not does it explain all the files you need to edit.
I do see however through all 25 pages people have asked a lot of the questions and a lot of them have been answered by you but the first post was never adjusted, maybe you could update that with some additional information e.g. the information above so the next person doesn't have to ask the same questions again.
@SmileYzn You're still doing a good job on this and I like many of us on here are appreciative of all the hard work you've done to pull this off, so thank you to you.
Its clear that for the people like myself when you run the main.exe and it comes up with the disconnected message that it must refer to either the ip address that has been specified in the text files and not to use 127.0.0.1 but the IPv4 address and also to make sure the ports are open.
@SmileYzn Do you've a list of all the ports that are required to be open since in the list of files above there are quite a few different ports, please.
Thank you once again.
