Help setup to play others

I need help to setup mu server on my vps to able to play my friends on their pc..

Do i need to open ports also on my vps to make it work?

Most of VPS are already opened ports you just have to allowed those ports on your firewall or disable firewall for the meantime so you can friends can join.
