[Guide] How To: Easily Change Drive Letters

Hi guys, this might be a simple but effective way (for me anyway) to change your drive letters to make a (D) Drive.

This guide is for people that have a problem with their Drive letters and do not have another hard drive (If you have another hard drive but wander why you cant get it to D Drive then only follow the first part of the Guide)

In this tutorial i am gonna explain to you how to:
Change Drive letters for your Disk drives
    And also...
    Make a D-Drive through partition.

Ok first thing might be a little bit complicated but you need to follow these steps:
    Part One
    1) You gotta get yourself Into administrative tools, If your there now, Skip step 1 and jump to step 2.
To get into Administrative tools, For Xp users go to Start>Control Panel, Performance and Maintenance>Administrative tools.
    2) Click on the 'Computer Management' Program
    3) When you get on that, click on the Dropdown tab 'Storage' then click the Dick Management subfolder.
    4) From there you can click on the CD/DVD etc drive of ur choice then right click and 'Change Drive Letter and Paths...'
    5) Your done for this part, Now you can get rid of what WAS drive D Its now liek E or F or summert.

    Part Two
    1) You gotta get yourself to This Link for Partition Magic 8
    2) Download and Install, following any step it asks you to do, Dont view the Read Me file
3)When downloaded, Click and run the program. Then when program is loaded, Right click on the C then click on 'Resize / Move'.
    4) Now you clicked this, there will be a pink/red representing your hard drive, with this you may Drag (from the right) how much you would like to resize your Drive. When you have rezised your drive, Simply click OK.
    5) You will now see that there is now 'Unallocated Space' there, Right click on that and then click on 'Create...'. Once on that, you may click drive letter D then simmply Click OK.
    Final Step
    6) The program may ask you if you want to restart your computer, If it does, then you MUSt restart for your Partition to be finalized and for you to have drive letter D partition!

This is a simple and very easy to use Guide. I Created this because i tried it myself and thought of You guys that are striggling! :D

So thankyou for reading my guide.

    Thanx, Phil
