How to setup MuOnline Season 5 Server (Video Tutorial)

hi all,
i got a question for u karli.
i have followed everything like it showed on the video, but it was abit confusing as it had diff file names, and i had to put that thing in quary.
anyway everything worked untill i pressed on main.exe

when it showed me loading page i was like please work, please work (as i have used your other server methods and none worked) :D
so when it showed that it finished uploading like usual it got stuck, and about after 5-10sec it told me server got disconnected.

so i guess u going to say i didnt changed ip's properly, but i followed same as u.
i didnt changed nothink to the main.exe only used that Hex as in video. or do i have to do somethink to it?

ok i'm having problems when i click on main.exe to start the game the game starts with loading screen after it finished the whole windows is closing don't know why :(

hi karli and everyone.
just wanted to say thanks for helping people to make their own servers.

this is my first time doing server and as usual i got problems :P

anyway, i have done same as in ur video. the when i started the start server in ur links, it whent smooth like butter :D but than when i pressed on the main.exe (i used hex on it) the screen poped up and when the bar finally finished i thought yes i made my first server :D, but to my disappointment it stuck at the uploading bar, and than after about 5-10sec it showed me that your are disconnected from the server.

so any help would be appreciated.

when i open mu maker it says login failed for user 'admin'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection

what can i do??

and then i press OK and nothing happen

oh mumaker ok you have to use the same login and password as you use for your sql login

i only know the password of the sql

but how i will know the login of it (name)

i think the default login is sa nothing else just type "sa"

i tried but still the same problem :(

which sql server you using? my one is 2008 i tried 2000 but couldn't install it so i'm using 2008. When i start sql server its asking for login and password so you should know what to enter for your login

i think the problem is that i have win xp...cause ive heard that season 5 files dont get along with xp..

i told to karli that we all get same problem with loading main.exe and he told me to look in last page of the thread :S

ok i fixed my problem about when loading game, it stucks in the loading page, and than it say you are disconnected.
basically, when i opened the Hexeditor and used it on the main.exe, i only changed the thing where it saz wanip, but i didnt changed the other one honto.org or somehink like that, so basically use find and find it and change it.


but i have a problem now with not being able to open mumaker, i had old one and when i press on it it telling me Initialization Error.
so i download the new one, and it game me error like (00-999502034 blabla bla.

is this server accepts md5?
because i found in extras account create md5. so when i created account and tried to log in and it say wrong name or password.

first server pack work fine with second client u only need change 3 things.

2) use whatever client u want first or second posted client but ever keep main.exe from second. From Extras!!! directory (thats come on second server pack) use the program "Main Cracker.exe" to open ur main client (ever keep a copy if u do bad) there u can hex ur main safely, only fill camps.

i only used the files from the first post Karli posted the one that he put links on, and i changed only what in the video.
the problem i have now is i cant open mumaker or make any accounts.i tryed to install md5 but than when the game loaded up it disconnected.

KarLi i only have one problem which i can't figure out

The game server there is no problem, GS no problem and GS_CS no problem.
But once i i start Main.exe file the game closes without no reason.
One thing i think the problem could be is that my global ip is starts with 90.2xx.xxx etc but when i run cmd/ipconfig i get that my ping is set to 192.168.0.2 and default gateway is 192.168.0.1 so it doesn't match not sure which one to use for the game ip. Also i have sky router.

you can use the no-ip dns thats help with main ip No-IP - Dynamic DNS, Static DNS for Your Dynamic IP

just tried with no-ip same thing happeneds, everything starts but after loading screen it closes :(

Karli i thin i found a bug.

When you get over level 150 in the skill tree GS Crashes.

In SCFData\SCF_Common MaxMasterLevel Is set on 200..

Why over 150 my gs crashes.. It happens to you too?

what do you mean choose your windows. I have exact problems. I loaded the ODBC and configures the neccessary inside the Admin->ODBC to link to my SQL for all fields. Cant get it to work, PM me if you can help okay? I'm also at this stage of the server making.

basically what u need to do is call event not that but MU2003_EVENT_DATA and make sure when u doing restoring u enter the correct link on it like
C:\MuOnline\DBBacks\MU2003_EVENT_DATA_Data.ldf or the other one.
because when my brother was doing in sql2005 it didnt do for him automatically like it does in 2000 (_Data.bla/_Log.bla).

tested with win 7 and vista works good

basically i made my server (luuk helped me). but the thing is he cant connect to my server, he tried diff ip settings but no luck :(

not working on me still, but the server is running

cant connect to client

i manage to get the server running, only chat server down.
Then i relise my anti virus is blocking my client from entering so i free all port.
now i have a problem nobody has.

i dont have " Enter account "
i don thave " Disconnected from server "

I can only see the view going round and round and round non-stop around in the login screen.. nothing to type.. no errors.. just no way to exit or key in your id and pw..

u need to check ur IP's again, most of the problems is with wrong entering the ip. try to fiddle with them.

hi guys its me again, well here is the list of things you need check before run your servers.

Check the serial and game version on this two files

MuServer\Data\lang\kor\commonloc.cfg
MuServer\SCFData\SCF_common.cfg

like this:

ClientExeVersion=1.07.08
ClientExeSerial=KarLiguide

both files need get the same key and same game version. sometimes change ip on commonloc.cfg can help.

Remember use the same version and serial on your game main.exe and use a hex program to do it. dont delete or remove camp when your hexing it.

Check all your ip are the same on this files

your server is runing fine the only problems is main craker because only change server loby and don't change server login try with a hex program like this picture

and edit it.

Hi Karli, using server files i got 2 problems encountered :( hope you can help me with this.

1. ) The NPC [220] Loren Deep NPC wont allow Castle Owner to enter the Land of Trials.
2. ) Players killing other players involved in castle siege got PK status.

yea me too, it seems all ppl making server here have different errors.. karli do u have a complete guide of item codes? sorry if all i ask on you, im a noob this is my 1st time to run a server :) and my friend tried to connect from korea and it succeed :thumbup1: i cant figure out how to make my char. hit mob? even normal char. cant :/ in other words i cant use any skill at all
