try installing sp3 or sp1 try installing .Net framework try installing so and so keep trying.

you did hexing wrong, if your ip is less than with the video
try click on the number on the left side and put 00 till the whole ip changed with you ip
and, you should put 2 ips when your hexing
then try logging in, server files and client works fine if you did it right way

ok, my #424 question I already fixed it, I can now connect to the server,
To others having a problem with "Enter your Account" problem: try to use your computer IP add. ex.: 192.168.1.102 for testing local, don't use yet WAN IP test your server first in local.
i saw this on the other thread thats not included in karLi's video but, i don't know if this two need to edit, i think it is..
C:\MuServer\DB\Data\MapServerInfo.dat
C:\MuServer\DB\Data\MapServerInfo_Cs.dat
This two also you need to change it's WAN IP but instead of WAN IP, test first your server in local, use IP ADD. of your computer ex:192.168.1.108
Start>Run>Type CMD/Go Command Prompt>Type ipconfig or ipconfig /all
AND from other problem, like mine "Account already connected" it is not connected i think it is equivalent to "invalid account" so it means your account trying to connect is not in the database, so, create first using MuMaker.exe
that's all i can share for now..

update: Server running perfectly, client connected, nice release season 5 KarLi.
but, still 50% bugs, i think i may choose to launch season 4 instead of season 5
because season 4 is 99.9% bugless it's good running condition with all private server and also in webzen.
I fixed the enter the acount error, dont know if its posted yet.. but put all ip's in CS mapserverinfo and startup.cfg 192... and same in main both ips 192 not your local one.

Hey dude can i use sql 2005 for it. It seems not to work because your server files uses (local) while sql 2005 uses \SQLEXPRESS. And i cant install sql 2000 on my laptop. It says its incompatible.

Like many people here I wanted to make my own server (and I still want to).
However after few tries I've always had some trouble.
First I used the 22MB server files everything went well, no errors, everything connected..
until the stage when I run the GS link after start up (link to screen with message)

After that I said to myself, maybe I should try the other server files 12MB ones.
And I did so. Did everything like in the guide.
After launching start everything opened but I see that in eventserver.exe are some fails and every other application is ok
so I continued and run GS. It opened, some messages were written, I though everything is ok now.
Changed IP two times in main.exe in client.
Launched it but when the server should appear I have a message "Enter You Account". And now I have no clue what to do... :S
Anyone can help? :*:

I did everything like you said and still when I launch client I get dc everytime. Long time ago I used to make servers all the time on 0.9x versions and it worked always.

i just had to mix a bit between 2 server files and mix their GS files
i have 1 error popping up when i lauch GS but i press ok and then verything is ok, server is on, i can make acc's, log in the game and so on
i use this server files
but i copied GS files from the other server files, then i put back the GS files from this link (so there are more files that weren't there before) and at the end i changed the GameServer.exe fileCode:http://www.fileserve.com/file/9ZuMcS2
and the link 2)RunGS.lnk it's direction is to GameServer.exe not RunServer.exe

I have followed everyone's advise and the guide. When I click on either Launch.exe and Main.exe click on play the screen goes black and then back to the Desktop. (both right clicking and selecting Run as Administrator.)
I used the client from (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=425IINTZ) and edit it with main cracker and changed wanip to mine and changed Serial from KarLiGuide4eveer to KarLiguide and changed the version from 22:56 to 22:4. I log on and after the load screen I get a box saying I am disconnected from server.
There something Im doing wrong or did I forget a step?
Another edit..I got to select server. When I click on the server I get a error box saying, "Requiere Newer Version Download patch from Website" then I click ok and it shuts down.

Went back to using "Seasons5 Client Edited by KarLi".Edited it with Hexeditor only doing the 2 ip address, checked all ip and all passwords there all done the way it is on the video. I ran serverstart and runGS. All ran with no errors. I right clicked on Main.exe in "Season5 Client Edited by KarLi" and ran as administrator. It shows the little gamegaurd picture for a second the it goes to black screen for a few seconds then right to desktop. I have deleted everything and reinstalled a few times. And read what other people have done, but when the people get it fixed they don't post what they did. So does anyone have any idea on whats going wrong here? Firewall/anitVirsu is off, anyone got something?

Well, i did everything you said. If i boot the auto starter it gos ok till it gets to DS i get a odbc error that it cant connect. All the others work, ranking, event etc. Only the DS and DS2 executables give a ODBC error. in your video i see you doing notting to these Directories or databases.
I use windows 2008 R2 64bit
freezer on 64bit its not that easy to setup server
u must configure all shit for ODBC and databases.

I got it all working now. I installed sql server 2000 instead of 2005 express. Someone helped out with the odbc connections.
everything is running + the gameserver.
If i open my client it loads then it says i need to enter a account, i can only press ok. Then the main.exe closes. :S
In the gameserver i only see the 127.0.0.1 ip adresses. It says it loaded 2 ips. I dont see my internet ip anywhere in the gameserver.exe console. Is that normal also?

what you guys need to do is open main.exe put the ip and serial and version
this is a quote of me a while ago
open data/lang/kor/commonloc.cfg and look for
ClientExeSerial = KarLiguide
copy KarLiguide or what ever its in it and put it in serial when your maincracking the main.exe
the only thing is if you did ur server file good and cracked and hex the main.exe, should work good :)

Hexing it , you need to see 2 ip addresses of yours..
open hex editor.. search .. find.. txt... connect then press ok to search

if your ip is shorter than mines?
go on the left side of hex editor and click and press 0 as if all letter or number of the right side is gone and just shows your complete ip address
