How to setup ur own 97d+99 router guide!

yes i followed the guide as you said

Only open (55901,44405) Both TCP, no other ports are needed. Having multiply ports open higher the risk of hack attacks.

This is optional for router users. This file should be added else people get dc after few seconds.

After that go : Start>Control Panel>HardWare and install ''Microsoft Loopback Adaptor''

When u've done that go to ur lan connection map Wich can be found in ur Control Panel either.
See : ''Microsoft Loopback Adaptor'' and press ''Proppeties''.
Than press ''Internet-Protocols [TCP/IP]'' and press ''Proppeties''
U will see three lines :
IpAdress : global ip : ''www.whatismyip.com''
SubnetMask: 255 0 0 0 ( for expample u can find : Start>Run>CMD>ipconfig )
Default GateAway: ur lan ip : ''Start>Run>cmd>ipconfig''

Than Press : Ok 2 times until the window is gone.

Great Guide was a bit stuck got around it was just sumthing to do with port fowarding but GREAT GUIDE thxs alot:)

Great Guide! I love 97d+99B servers!
But.. I have one problem.

I installed the loopback adapter opened the ports etc. everything what you said.
The server turns on ready and I open my client.
Then at the left top corner i see You are disconnected from (client name here).
I cant see my server and/or login.
Please help or add me on MSN, im also dutch.

kk , these are ip problem.

Check if your ip's are in the exact way i told in this guide !!
Any small detail can be problem :D

These are the "link" files for people who use a C:\ drive,I had some trouble opening properties.. and a few others have to so I thought i'd upload them

NOTE:These are the SAME exact files,so don't be nervous.The path has just been changed from D to C,so you don't need to wait 3 hours to even see if properties will open up ^^

BTW this is a great guide,everything you need is included :) thanks for this wonderful addition to MU guides.

I need a new direct link for client.The other one denies my access to iy.Thank you(I just dont want to risk downloading the wrong client)
And a question,the client main,at the Login Screen,is it the Ships one the sea backround or is it The castle,the cliff can the DarkLord?

whehe, uhm, i'm now busy making a guide for season 3 users, cause lots of people dunno how to make season 3 and add me in msn. :)

You can wait but it will be just some changes like good shops, spots etc.
