LAN&WAN Server with NonPassthrough Router

Hello chaveco, thx for your guid but i have a pb too.

In lan it works perfctel.
I put the ip like you said.
But in the screen, it's said i'am connected on my serveur but when i clik on it, nothing hapen, but my screen is not blocked, i can move the mouse but no hapen anymore.

My configs

IP lan--->192.168.0.3
IP wan-->82.252.xxx.xxx
i 've a my.no-ip.com as wan ip

i up my problem,


i up all ports.
i'vr register un no-ip.com

My router is got 192.168.0.254, but i open all port at 192.168.0.3

i can open just 10 port in my routeur, i know it's strange but i can do nothing to change that.

Zerocould... you need to open port UDP 55557...

you only opened TCP... try that..

Well surelly it's not me that HAS BEEN MOVING MY POST AROUND THE SECTIONS.

It really seems like you don't have a Muserver error... you have WAN problems... please if you can't try to connect via VNC and the doors are open looks like that you have a router problem... please... don't change any settings that you followed in my guide... I promise you that.. when you connect via VNC you will get your MU lan & Wan

If you followed my steps... the configs are right...

Check your router.. it seems to have problems :chair:

This is my explanation: I first posted in the general section... then somebody (i think admin) moved to server help... Then Brandon moved to GUIDE and Warned me!

I don't want to disturb this Forum... i only wanted to help users.. and i Helped :thumbup:

In THIS FORUM has Lot's of guides telling that it is IMPOSSIBLE with a non passthrough router! DON'T BELIEVE THEM... ITS POSSIBLE!

The probleme is that all player in the net can connect to my serveur, but me, with another pc conecter in lan, with lan ip 192.168.0.4 with the same wan ip, i can't connect to my serveur.

i can just play ON the pc where the serveur is install.

In another pc,

with, 192.168.0.3-----> serveur page, next i clik on serveur, it's block and i am disconnecet from the serveur.
withn myno-ip.com---> i 'am disconeceted from the serveur.

please, please help me.

I need help chaveco... i followed your guide perfectly but still it doesnt work...

my MuWan was running good with loopback device


first i deactivated loopback device

Then i added this to my host file: 192.168.3.3 showdown.dyndns.org

192.168.3.3 is my lan ip
showdown.dyndns.org <-- already correct forwarded in the router under Dns...

Q: isnt it a problem to use 1 name for wan and lan ip adresses? <-- i think this is the trick of your guide ;)


Then i changed lnk.4 and lnk.8 to showdown.dyndns.org

cs/connectserverlist.dat --> showdown.dyndns.org
cs/data/connectserverlist.dat --> showdown.dyndns.org
cs/data/serverlist.dat --> showdown.dyndns.org
data/iplist.dat --> showdown.dyndns.org
data/commonserver.cfg --> 127.0.0.1 <-- this make no sence... showdown.dyndns.org (standing for 192.168.3.3 should also work)
data/lang/chs --> showdown.dyndns.org
data/lang/kor --> showdown.dyndns.org
data/lang/tai --> showdown.dyndns.org


starting the server with:

Name: doesnt matter :)
ip: showdown.dyndns.org (in lan standing for 192.168.3.3 --> should work normally???)
port:44405


if i do so, i get the old problem if i dont use loopback device...

server is shown, but when i click (it says you are connected to the server) the login window doesnt display...

data/commonserver as 127.0.0.1 MAKES SENSE! why? because the BC and the DS run locally in the server... and 127.0.0.1 is = 192.168.3.3 witch is equal to yourname.dyndns.org, if you have host configured in server...

Deactivate Loopback.. (wtf is that :P) and change you wan name to something smaller like
ex123.no-ip.com.


That should do it..

what is the password for the user 'muadmin' or 'Admin' wich ExDB.exe (link07) uses to log into the SQL server, or is there a way to set ExDB.exe 's loginname and password with wich it logs into the SQL?

ok ive done every thing ive been told in the guide kk it's all good so far i connect to the server u can click on the server and then i starts to load (freeze) the login box dosent come up and on the top left hand side it says that im connected but the login box dosnt come up plz plz pz help me

this is the no-ip i registered at no-ip.com 3deep.no-ip.info is that small enough to do every thing or does it have to be smaller????????
