Hi ppl whats up! i have the excact same problem that some ppl have here but cant find the solution, already tried what chaveco said but still nothing!!!
i have a cable modem (i think this is not considered as a router, or yes?) and already made my own np-ip, configured all the needed files and still nothing!!!!
it seems like the gameserver cant find the joinserver (or ip)
i have tryed to run the server on lan and it worked VERY FINE but not on wan.
pls ppl help!!!!

you don't need my confings for a modem!... how do you share you internet for the lan.... that is the question!
i use adsl router... and sharing and redirect ports is OK... confs are ok from your guide... my problem wan users and lan users connect, but don show login screen... i try any solutions.. but anything not functionaly... your solution is my problem now... connect, but don't show login screen... (wan and lan) my msn is jabsnet@msn.com i Brazilian and speak english....

lol this is what ive done --> foll0ow warrior's guide. and follow this step
-> In server open C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\Hosts and add below 127.0.0.1 localhost ->[b]192.168.0.x (your lan Ip) mu.no-ip.com
-> goto your lan clients and also add that line -> ->[b]192.168.0.x (your lan Ip) mu.no-ip.com
note: i didnt uninstall loopback
using confs from this guide i dont work.... my problem insits in dont show login screen... can i help me?

First I want to thank you for posting the steps how my WAN and LAN work together. Now my server is online for 1 month and my friends, specially my are so grateful for your help.
But I have a problem with my LAN side. I have to always stop CS.exe application (the 3rd program of the 8 link we have to run) and change the information on my serverlist.dat (under cs\data folder) from my no-ip dns host to my static ip address then run again CS.exe. After my LAN pc connect to the server I have to again do the reverse. Change from static ip to dns host. But I have several PC, doing this sometimes connecting from WAN is not possible.
Do you have any solution on this? Ill appreciate if you could help me with my problem.
BTW, im using a dynamic ip address given by my dsl provider. I can't afford static. :smilie3:

Come on... this is only a guide! its impossible to me to answer all the questions... even if i'd like to!
MutedX: i don't know that router... but you sure don't need all those ports open :)
try testing the default por 80 (wwwebsites port) if nat is really working
