    Mu Paper Models

i was bored and decided to make a guide so people can make their own aswell if they cant be bothered waiting for people to make models for them :P

Guide for making paper models :P
    you will need:
    1,
    SMD models from muonline:
    http://rapidshare.com/files/13082879...t_3_00_SMD.rar

    2, MilkShape from Chumbalandsoftware
    http://chumbalum.swissquake.ch/ms3d/download.html

3, Pepakura, (full version or cracked)(otherwise you wont be able to save your models)
http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-e.../designer.html (you have to buy the full version)
    Or
    http://rapidshare.com/files/16959327...er.v3.0.3a.rar (with patch/crack)
    to install pepakura:
    Steps:
    1,install pepakura designer
2, put patch.exe in your pepakura install folder and copy pepakura.exe and RENAME it pepakura.bak.exe
    3, Run patch.exe
    4, You're done :P
    NEXT
1, unzip all smd models into a folder for easy access
    2,install milkshape
    ALL READY TO GO :)

Now you want to open up milkshape, and go to "File" -> "Import" -> "HalfLife SMD"

Navigate to the file you want, and unselect "Skeleton"
Then you want to right click, and go "Textured"
Clean up the model (delete anything you don't want to fold (useful for making life size helmets :P)
then go to "File" -> "Export" -> "Wavefront OBJ" (this lets you have the texture)

and then save it in the same folder as the SMD (MUST DO SO PEPAKURA CAN LOAD TEXTURES FROM FOLDER)
then open up pepakura, and go "file" "open" and navigate to the folder your .obj file is in and click open.
then adjust coordinates as you please, edit as you please and click "UNFOLD"
then re-arrange on the paper as you want, resize etc
Then go "FILE" "EXPORT" "BMP FILE PER SHEET"

and save as you want, or instead go straight to printing and print youre paper model :)
PS, to get numbered parts on your models
go to "SETTINGS" "Others" and check the box that says "Place Edge ID on inside of face"
and there you have it, as simple as i could make it, forgive me if lt's hard to follow but its my first guide of this type and i do apologise for the spelling mistakes

hope this helps :P ill get working on that list that was posted :P

EDIT, found a trick to get rid of those nasty legs and flesh etc that are stuck in the helmets and pants
go to "Groups" tab find the one that you want to get rid of, leave that one, and click on all the others and go "HIDE" underneath the tab, and you will be left with only the flesh that you want to delete.
go back to the "Model" tab, click the select button and delete all the flesh you want, hope this helps :) merry xmas evryone, (xmas was yesterday for me but today for americia) :)

you have to right click and go "TEXTURED" instead of "wireframe" and make sure the texture JPG files are in the same folder directory as the smd.
    hope this helps :)
