but i had another problem with the Microsoft Loop Adapter thingy after u forward the ports,

i am using LAN connection via router, so normally i have 1 local area connection under network connections, which contains my LAN configuration and LAN ip, 192.xxx.x.x.
then i installed the loop program and a 2nd local area connection appeared, i clicked the properties of it and went to set the IP, as the guide says, change it to our global IP, like www.whatismyip.com says, i 've seen 2 different ones but none of them EVER work when i try to run the server after changing all IPs required, the only 1 that worked is the LAN ip but problem is people can't connect to my server but only me can do so.

DUN need tis Ip -.- GO start click run type cmd
then a command prompt came out type ipconfig tat is ur ip and u forward using tat ip -.-

after i had start the server and when i start my client. i get the error message as the screen shot attached.

Ok.. Im New at this stuff and has been up about 20 hours without sleep.. I set up everything that you told me to...When i go to test the Links Foler with the 8 programs all of them say this:

SQLSTATE:08001,diagnosis:[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]Specific SQL server now found..

If I Push This I get the Error Messege:

SQLSTATE:08001,diagnosis:[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]ConnectionOpen(Conenect())

i did whatever u ask me too in the guide ( thanks btw ) but if i change my ip at the internet connection i cant connect to the internet . if i change back to my normal one i can connect to the internet but i cant go into my server ( it says im disconnected ) even if my ip is the global ip i also cant connect .. may i know the problem please

Now , my server is working fine ? i open all 8 links one by one and my com lag like hell but still i got diconnected from the server , but this time is not in the middle , its at the side in blue words . please help me

Please help me this is my last problem ( I think ) Im having problems with my links . when i open link 5 its says Failed to connect MU2003 Event Db To Load Maximum Index and Failed to lord mutto number file . when i open my link 8 alot of pop ups with error as their headline appeared but the words cant be read . Please help me

Ok I have a problem all my other links work but the 08 link.
When i go into it it said a whole bunch of stuff... So i found the files put em where they were spose to be.. Now it cannot find messege_kor.wtf

does anyone know where i can get that file or can anyone post it here. thx

i have no clue wat to do with the port fowarding it seems netgear is different to the others.

Connecting to your Server

There are several ways to connect to your Server, but the best thing is using a launcher (That's what I think):

1. Unzip the 0.96y client full in a new folder (Make one yourself)

2. Unzip the 0.97 patch in the same folder

3. Unzip the 0.97 english patch in Data/Local folder (In the folder you made)

4. Unzip the launcher in the folder you made (same folder as 0.96y and 0.97 patch)

5. Run launcher 2.exe. Name = Your Server Name, Host = Your Global IP, Version = 0.97 (Until you've updated the server of course), port = 44405


and step 1 to 5 i dun understand it....

Ok I got the server working fine with lan. I've changed all the settings to my WAN adress but I can still connect lan. My friends can ping the server and can see the 1 server, but when they click on it they get disconnected. Im pretty sure the problem is what is described as the loopback device. I set it up but unfortuneatly no one can connect when its on. I know the ports are foward because I set my router to DMZ for the comp. Is the Loopback device really necesary?

i cant open the files(.dat and cfg) so i cant do the ips help
