I. Introduction
To run two copies of a Mu Client at the same time on one computer you need to have another account on the computer to run it. To create another account read the next section. If you know how to create another account or have another account you can use then skip the next section.
II. Creating Another Windows User Account (Windows XP)
First you need to find the control pannel - the icon looks like the one below:
Then find the User Accounts icon like the one below:
Then you need to Create a new account by clicking the highlighted link:
Then name the account, I named mine TEST because I was testing this before I posted it:
Then set the account to be an administrator (if you don't it won't work right):
Next you need to add a password to the account, Click on the newly created account:
Then click Create Password:
Put in the password for the account in the top two boxes then you can leave the hint blank if you want.
And now you have an account to run the 2nd copy of the game.
III. Folder Copying:
Next you need to copy the game client to a new folder... after which you will have two copies of the same client on the same computer.
IV. Window Mode
Next you need to set the game to run in a window... this option is included with many game clients. the new season3 clients dont accept minimizer programs anymore. you have to use registry keys to put the client in a window. click here to download these files.
V. Running the Clients
Now you get to finally run the clients simultaneously. First, you need to start the launcher the regular way but do not click connect, just let it sit there until you start the next one. To start the one on a seperate account, right click the launcher, click Run As... then click the radio button that says "The Following User:" then choose the user and enter the password for it then click OK. once that's done the launcher will start up and you can click Connect on both of them... if done correctly there should be two mu windows loading.
NOTE: while you're viewing one the other one will look paused but the character will still be able to move if you've already instructed it to do so. Because of this fault you can not effectively follow someone or continue attacking after you have selected the other window. also only click on the title bar of the window when switching between them, if you click inside the window then your character will move where you clicked... that gets annoying.
hm.. never thought of that... that works too if you want to run them on the same accountwhat i do:
don't have to create another user.
just right click on the client folder, copy, and right click, paste. so that you have something like that:
MUPrivate
Copy of MUPrivate.
Shortcut the windowmode and launcher form both of the folder to the desktop.
Rename windowmode1, launcher1, windowmode2, launcher2.
Run windowmode1, launcher1, connect into game and window mode it.
Run windowmode 2, launcher2, connect into game and window mode it.
The 2 windows will overlap each other, just have to drag the 2nd window abit and there, you have 2 windows together.
The game in the inactive window will not pause, it just lag abit.
p/s: Tested with duo core, 4G ram and 1G graphic card, it can run 4 windows.
