i saw it in the other guides...
and i didnt see anything about LOCAL IPs here

I tryed to install the server and everything works fine.
Now I have to install MS SQL Server 2005.
Should I configurate anything important or just install by clicking "ok"?
Now I try to create the Datebases.
Everything works untill i try to restore the Datebases.
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: The backup set holds a backup of a database other than the existing 'MuOnline' database. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo)
What should I do??
And if I try to do the second part with the option:
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: File 'C:\Server\MuServer\MuServer\DB' is claimed by 'MuOnline_Log'(2) and 'MuOnline_Data'(1). The WITH MOVE clause can be used to relocate one or more files. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo)

executor66 just use sql 2000 cuz it's alot simpler and it's alot more compatible to MU...

i'm pretty sure the direction to restoring datebases are perfect...
i've done that alot of times...

Step 6:
You also have to change the SQL account and password to yours in these files: (change "sa" to your SQL account or leave it as default and 600944 to your SQL password)
C:\MuServer\EVENT_SERVER\DATA\svconfig.ini
C:\MuServer\RANKING_SERVER\svconfig.ini
How / where can I look up my SQL account and password??

But there was nothing to enter like a password an a account name.

after you download it,
EXTRACT it, (WHICH IT WILL DO AFTER YOU DOWNLOAD IT, WHICH YOU'D THINK YOURE ALREADY INSTALLING BUT NO, IT'S JUST EXTRACTION)
youd still have to INSTALL it...
1. open the folder where you extracted the SQL SERVER...
2. double click AUTORUN. it's usually in the C:\SQLEVAL\autorun.exe
3. Click SQL 2000 Server Components
4. Click Install Database Server
5. Hit NEXT 8 TIMES! DONT CHANGE ANYTHING JUST HIT NEXT
6. Choose "Local System Account"
7. Choose "Mixed Mode"
8. Enter a Password that YOU'LL REMEMBER! This will be the password you'll put in the svconfig.ini files! WRITE IT DOWN SOMEWHERE!
9. Hit Continue. Then this will INSTALL the SQL Program

i used this, success...
* Extract the file and then click on ‘auto run.exe’
* Click on ‘SQL 2000 Server Components’
* Click ‘Install Database Server’
* Click on ‘Next’ eight times
* You will see the ‘Services Accounts’ window. Click on ‘Local System Account’ and press next
* Then you will see the ‘Authentication Mode’ window. Select mixed mode and choose a password (keep the username as ‘sa’). Remember your password as you will need it later!
* Press ‘Continue’ and this will install your SQL Server.
* Open the ‘Service Manager’ and click ‘Start/Continue’ and this will start your SQL Server (If it does not connect, delete \SQLEXPRESS from the title).
Sir the odbc.reg doesn't do anything even if I clicked yes. :(
it aint supposed to do anything...
just run it, click ok, success, done...
