ur id on sql is allways "sa"
the ips 127.0.0.1 .. dont change them they 're needed to be on local allways for connecting on ur pc databases etc. just edit on where the guide says ur IP !

or.. use hamachi.. isntall make newtwork take the ip of that network and use on files .. so ppl need to download hamachi and use it then join ur network so they can play

Hmm the Season 4 Files working good, all OK and in startup all ready only have problem with run the cracked GS and GS-CS ,cuz when i click on the links (with correct IP and ports ofc) then nothign happens =(
what u mean nothing happens ? u must be running SCFDB.exe i think then run gs.exe with ports on it.
The season 5 client patch is broken, ZIP file won't extract to a folder and i get an error message like "unknown archive or damaged" or something like that....

sorry for flames, but is there a difference between setting s1-s6 season... cause in most cases all steps are the same,
SQL,ODBC,IPs Server/Client Side... + just a few table adjustments at the SQL server.
well the files aren ot the same and so the names of the folders on them are not same too so newbies just dont know where to find that and that to edit with IP or SQL Pass etc etc.

with ur Global IP or no,ip Close and Save
6.Open Data> MapServerInfo.dat Replace the ip "84.57.38.96"" With your Global IP or no,ip Close and Save
7.Open EventServer>DATA>svconfig.ini > Edit your " SQL PASS " Close
and Save.

If the SQL 2000 is what you mean incompatible, Yes it is incompatible indeed but compatible with winXP.. Only sql 2005 and up is compatible in windows 7..
I think there's no need for old SQL servers 2000-2005 sql since it's all now built as part of the latest SQL servers.. Latest windows server 2011 and 2008.. 2011 i think for testing,I recommend SQL 2008, Although im noob in creating Private servers but i think this versions are quite better.

My problems are fixed, now with the wireless connection set up hosting.. This is my biggest problem now.. I can't set the firewall on my modem only on my router.

After you're guide a made a mu server season 4,i open the main from client,i can see the server but when i click it to enter account details,i get D/C.
Make sure your ports are open and all your firewalls allows all your ports, if you have a wireless connection like in a router then we have the same problem, wireless connection is hard to manifest.
The ports are opened firewall closed everywhere i stillo can't connect to me server.I have a router linksys, i forwarded general ports.I don't know what else to do...

Ok new update i m using direct cable no router no modem, server starts everything it's ok,yet i get and error of the antihack that an ilegal ip is tring to connect and i still get that d/c when i m trying to input account to enter on server.But the server is running,soo help?

What's your ip? Static or still a dynamic? Internet connection dsl,broadband,dial-up or etc..? Coz if it's not then yes it's illegal.
I think it's the modem that causes it, try not using router but keep the modem on.. That's the connection i had and it connects.. But now im using wireless router with dynamic ip, coz my stupid brother had a new laptop that needs wifi.
I have dynamic broadband dial-up conection....anyway solved that problem as well.... Now new problem.... any client that i use even the original that i ve downloaded with the sv files, it requires me to get a new version.My season 4 version is 1.05.50,the sv files and the client are same version,yet it requires update version.Help?

I need some help with the next things....I succefullly forwaded the neccesary port trough my router,still i have some problems left:
1.Gs_CS will not log properly,it won't work....he should load like the GS but it does not...soo need help.. maybe conection port or corect ip to put in(files and shortcut link)
2.Momentarly i keep the server on the local ip(router's ip)and only me can login,so i'm working on setting the server how i wish(shops,events,etc..).What i want is a way so that after i finish this setups,to make it global,to makei t so other people can connect to it...i tried a lot of methods and settings,no good result.
Specifications:
-i'm using router now(but the ports are corecctly forwarded)
-Pppoe connection dynamic ip
-All other firewall are off(antivirus,network connection,router)

u must open ports type Both [udp and tcp]
the ip u must open them to is[ go to cmd>ipconfig> and that ipv4 IP put on the port forwarding configs then u wont have problems

Thanks but I've done that many2 times, i have discovered that, it isn't the problem, the problem is that I have 2 routers connected so i have to use double port forwarding, but in my case it's some kind of impossible to do by myself, coz my 1st router is company owned by the internet provider i have, they're the ones who can only got an access to it, so now I've contacted them to help me, for now I'm waiting..Quote:
