Did you change the IP of your main.exe?

I have not used this guide yet but I am guessing there should be a file called mu tools in the server files. Go there and look for Client Tools and look for a Main Editor.

If there is not one you may have to HEX the main.exe
To do so:
Download the Hex Editor. Do so here: http://download.cnet.com/Hex-Edit-Fr...-10046060.html

Usually the Main.exe is included with the server files, and usually the IP in the main.exe is 127.0.0.1. But, sometimes they`re different. Note: Releasers always post the IP of the Main.exe (at least, that`s what supposed to happen).
Open your HexEditor, and open the Main.exe. Click the "Search" button, and find (normal text, not in hex) : 127.0.0.1 (or a different IP given with the release). It will track the IP down, and you can replace it with you own!

i dont frellin under stand wat to do on step 11 in makeing a S4 server its jest bogles my dam mind how about a year ago all u had to do was jest change ip's then make ur main then run the start server.exe then open ur client and it would work now befor u can do that u have to open like 4 deffernt exe's jest to get the damn server started

I'm totally done. I've tried for 4 days with this guide and several other guides to set up a server and client on a local machine. I got the servers up and running according to the start ups but nothing I do with any of the clients will connect to it. I can't use Global IP since I'm on a Routed DSL connection. I'm so wasted on corrupt files, Typos in guides. And still never got the stupid thing to work. The main cracker for season 5 apparently doesn't even work because after cracking it still goes to mu.online.co.kor or some crap. Whatever happen to the good old days when people put together both game and client configured for stand-alone and then posted guides for how to globalize it? I'm done with this until someone comes out with one standalone file that all you have to do is install. Heh! since everything to run this is free download somewhere, you would think someone would do that. And not charge like dboyz or those others. Charging is stupid!!!!!!!!Keep the Internet free!!!!!!!!

yo, i've try to setup the season4 server but, i get some errors:
first of all, i run mu server startup and it gets stuck at loading the dataserver, when i check the chat server i get this :


when i run the client i get an error of

unable to open Data\glow.gld

also when i run a gameserver , i get some errors:

When i open main.exe with hex editor i find the default ip between some sites.
when i try to launch main.exe it says that it is not a correct .exe programm
what can i do?

THIS BUG IS FIXED, if you have the same problem then your shortcuts aren't properly edited yet, see step 11 (using Season 4)
"11.Right Click on RunServer_GS>ShortCut> On Line "Target": put exactly where is ur MuServer Files Located for ex:
"C:\muserver\GameServerCS\CrackCS.exe 127.0.0.1 55970 127.0.0.1 55962 55919"
Do Same on Line "Start In ex: c:\MuServer\GameServerCS. Apply and OK. Do the same with RunServer_CS/GS/SUB.lnk too"

Karli, i have problem...
When i click gameserver, it hungs up, only white screen, no logs...
When i open the game always DC...

Want to know how i fixed it? I just opened all the needed ports and i could click on my main server and choose a subserver
but now my problem is:


When i click on a subserver i get disconnected!

its cus u have windows 64 bit thats the prob
u must edit ODBC.reg somehow..
