    SQL 2000 Setup

    Heys everyone,
    im back to spam u with guides *muhahaa*
    this time: how to install SQL 2000
    since i was to lazy to use screenshots, i tried to keep the english on a plain, simple level so everyone will understand it :)
    ///////////////////////////////////
    ////Installation of SQL 2000/////
    ///////////////////////////////////
    1. Go to C:\SQLEVAL, thats the folder u unpacked the downloaded package to.

    2. Start Autorun.exe

    3. Select SQL 2000 Server Components

    4. Click Install Database Server

    5. Press Next 4 times, then press Yes once.

    6. Select Server and Client tools

    7. Press Next 2 times again.

    8. Select Windows Authentication Mode.

    9. Press Next and Finish. You finished installing the SQL 2000 program.

    Now, how to use it?

    First of all, either restart ur PC or go to start>all programms>Microsoft SQL Server
    and start the Service Manager. A new Icon will appear near ur PC clock.
    Make sure its green, then follow the SQL install instructions in the main guide :)

    End
    Keep sharing alive, teach what u know, so others can improve ;)
    greez,
    ET

    Re: [Guide] SQL 2000 Setup

    Hi...

    I know how to install SQL Server 2000, but once i uninstalled it from my PC and can't install it again... every time I try to install the SQL Server, I get an error with configuring the server and it says to look in C:/WINDOWS/sqlstp.log...

    Code:
    ###############################################################################

    Starting Service ...

    SQL_Latin1_General_CP437_BIN

    -m -Q -T4022 -T3659

    Connecting to Server ...

    driver={sql server};server=SYSMATIC\INST1;UID=sa;PWD=;database=master

    [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed

    driver={sql server};server=SYSMATIC\INST1;UID=sa;PWD=;database=master

    [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed

    driver={sql server};server=SYSMATIC\INST1;UID=sa;PWD=;database=master

    [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed

    SQL Server configuration failed.

    ###############################################################################
    I have heard, that if once installed SQL Server on a system, then if you uninstall it, you will not able to install it the 2nd time...

    But it can't be like so... Please help!

    Thank you! ...

    Re: [Guide] SQL 2000 Setup

    vista works with 2k5, and to the guy who asked about a serial nr: download the one at ***************, u dont need one for that....

    and pictures are nice, indeed, but this is included in a package, and i didnt want to take 300 million pics :)

    i think this is the easiest way to do it anyway ;)

    thanks for the positive feedback guys!
