SQL Server have 3 log modes: Full, Bulk-logged and Simple
The "Simple" option is the one with no log at all, so your log file will store only one transaction of each session and then flush so no growing will happend.
To set your db to simple mode do this:
Open the Enterprise Manager
Open the left tree strucutre until you find your muonline db
Click with your mouse right button and select "Properties"
Select the "Options" tab
On recovery model select "Simple"
I also recommend the following options:
Auto update statistics
Auto create statistics
Press "OK"
After setting the simple mode, manually shrink your db doing this:
Do right click on your muonline db again
this time select "Al task->shrink database"
click on "Files" button
your DB must have two files, the data file and the log file
select the log file
in action select "compress pages and then truncate free space..."
press "OK" and wait until done
Now your log file must be about 2 or 3 MB and it will not grow unless you do very big transactions as update every player with a single command or something similar.
If your LOG file doesnt shrink very much, just wait a few minutes with your server online, after a few transactions your log file will auto shrink to the appropiate size.
I hope this help
