e-mail verification that mu web has is verifying if it has "@" and a dot. There are others that are more effective, you can google it

at the end or w/e, but not everyone has one of those... for example some ppl use (name)@(theirsite).com, so maybe sending an email using php functions will work, then to activate their accnt, they click a link in the email... it is just like standard email verifactions ;)
you can make too email verification: Send an email with a code to users email and when he enter their code in the case his account will be activated
