Has anyone hacked their Wii to play games off of a hard drive?
I've been reading this guide and it seems pretty straight forward. Seems like a sweet way of backing up all your Wii games to a hard drive so that you don't have to keep putting the discs in. The laser in my drive has been failing so it seems like a pretty good option.
How to Back Up and Play Your Wii Games from an External Hard Drive
Has anyone actually tried this? Is there any chance of breaking my Wii forever? For those who have already tried it, did you get banned from playing online?

Hey. There is a lot of posts so i kind`a dont read them but i think this problem there arent.
I start with server startup and ... http://www.bildites.lv/images/4ji2mx9zlmd5lef2mn5g.jpg you can see that its standing and dont do nothing. whats the problem?
Okey after bilion seconds there was a error which i dont see. he appears and disapear very fast.
Triple edit - thanks some guy in page 8-10 who typed that in dataserver theres no need for dots in ip. thanks :)

hello i set all ips 127.0.0.1 only for me to connect. Double cliking on startup and at gameserver it says "[cash shop] shop server connect failed" and also "please input authentication server adress and port number", and i get disconnected while trying to enter the main, changed the ip to 127.0.0.1 with hex editor. Any help please?

You have forgotten to edit all the IP's. There are many ones that you should add 127.0.0.1 and on the allowdIpList files they should be added without dots but with space.
To the authentication server adress and port number, create a shortcut of the GameServer and add this line 127.0.0.1 55970 127.0.0.1 55962 5591, then you create a shortcut of the GameServerCS and add this line 127.0.0.1 55970 127.0.0.1 55960 55901.

I get stucked on the screen after I select my char, it doesn't enter in the game.
Anyone knows what is wrong here?

did you edit the character you want to enter in game?? if yes, try connecting with normal character.
