For example I set up the server using my WANIP only at:
D:\MuServer\bin\Data\ServerList.dat:
AND
D:\MuServer\Data\MapServerInfo.dat:
AND
D:\MuServer\StartUP.ini
That's all the places I put my WANIP, then I edit the SQL user/pass correctly (I get no error about SQL connection's), Restore the databases, run ODBC.reg then I've run MUServerStartUP.exe and after it loads I go to D:\MuServer\links and start in this order: CashShopServer.exe, GameServer.exe and GameServer_CS.exe ! They all load complete only dataserver1 stays in standby mode (don't know if that is ok).
Next step I go to WORKSTATION, install the GMO client, copy over and overwrite the main.exe, main.dll and data folder from MMT and using MainCracker I open the main.exe change the host in there with my WANIP 89.xx.xxx.30 then hit Save (also checked version/serial number - they match!!!).
All good till now, I start the client from my WORKSTATION and... IT WORKS, was so happy. So I made the modified client a .rar archive and sent it to a friend of my who has same ISP as me and he gets Your are disconnected from the server right when he starts the client... so I'm on it but he get's disconnected.... what should I change/try/do !!! I've tried all combinations I could think of modified and searched over-and-over but I can't seem to get it done.
Please, someone with more knowledge, especially with this MMT version would care to help me overpass this issue? MSN/Y!/any form of Instant Messengers would be even better.
P.S: I have previously installed the DMT FullS2 Files and they worked fine for me and for my friends (meaning they could connect, and I've done the same settings for both server files). Since I quit the DMT files for MMT which seem better, less bugs and more stable... nothing changed to the computer neither hardware or software. Just a few minutes ago I reinstalled the DMT version to see if it still working and it is, so... my ports are open, I don't have a router anyway... everything should be ok.... I'm sure this is a config problem with IP's (maybe???) or a setting somewhere, something !!!!
Sorry for the long story but I'm trying to get this version online for at least 3-4 days now !
Have a great day
