Files have been tested in Windows Server 2003 SP1 before release and they were running perfectly, also all server links starting instant with the included ServerStartUp program. GameServer doesn't consume much cpu unless you do bad configuration.
If JoinServer isn't starting in Windows 7 then you can try use any other working JoinServer with 1.00.90 GS. The JoinServer we are using is Webzen Retail, designed for Server OS, not Client OS![]()
I am running on windows seven x64 + sql 2005/2008 and the server files take a lot of time to run(not just joinserver). I tested other DB's I have for sql 2000 and the server files ran instantaneosly although the GS crashed in every attempt.

wtf? who deleted my post....
guys im running at WINDOWS XP SP2, and JS are crashing can you please fix or give extrnal link are worked?
MajoraRZ, On Windows 7 x64 will be in the next update to work GameServer?
PS: There is no way to put Windows 2003.
Sorry for bad English.
Many dedicated servers use windows server 2008, if it doesn't run on windows seven is kind of useless.
Try using this JoinServer: Download JoinServer2.rar from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way
Try running with the above JoinServer and see if it works.
No serious administrator should be running a MuServer in Windows 7 unless it's for local tests. MuServer Files are originally designed by Webzen to run in Windows Server 2003 SP1 that's why we recommend that OS. It's your choice to use whatever you want but im suggesting what's best
Alternative JoinServer posted above.
Of course nobody will run a server on windows 7, for that there's the windows server 2008. :)
I would run it on windows 7 just locally as you suggested.
But on the same way you don't recommend SQL 2000 because it's old software, windows 2003 is also old although I find no one of them bad. Just saying that many datacenters nowadays don't use windows server 2003 anymore.
I'd like to test the files as well, they seem to be good but I am not going to unninstall my OS for an older one.

By the way, changing the JoinServer won't help in anything because the one that comes with the files is working fine... the databases are the problem.
NOT WORKING.
i found JS form season 4 thats not crashing but it disconnect me.
maybe you can fix it.

"Your Account Is Invalid"
how to fix this?
Good release, everything is working on my windows 2003 32 r2 sp2 with sql 2008 r2 express :)
@MajoraRZ please please fix joinserver please im begging you.!
Dataserver1 ( first exe ) GSDBSET ODBC CONNECT FAIL
Windows 2003 std sql 2008
Config's are true and i started odbc...
Only im not sure about sql 2008 sa account.. First time i use 2008 ^^
I have tested this files on Win 7 and SQL 2005. It works and it loads fast. Also I used the same JS.
To be able to make the JS run, you have to configure the ODBC correctly. Look also at the Event Viewer to see what is the problem.
You have to run Dataserver, ExDB, Chatserver, EventServer, and RankingServer before you run JoinServer.
