Does somebody know why I can't go any further with setup on this webpage? Ports are open and I tried even with the firewall off but nothing seems to work.

DB Host is wrong. Complete that with your SQL server host machine's IP address.

I tried with the host machine's IP address also but I still have the same error. I did servers with connections to web pages in 2007-2008 but I forgot everything since then. I try to make it on my personal pc (localhost)
I don't have any idea what I'm doing wrong or what is going on. Thank you

Use the ODBC connection. Instead of your LAN IP, go with 127.0.0.1 (localhost).
You sure you have the SqlSrv drivers compatible with your PHP version and also PHP.ini has the SqlSrv extension drivers enabled in there?
On newer versions of Xampp, you have to download them separately.

does the same issue happen with DmNCMS ? also ur webhost has some issues iff u still cant make it work, ioncube is usually the simpliest thing to enable in ur php settings
