You don`t need .bak files, you have to ATTACH the database, wich is much quicker and easy. As for the TT joinserver, i don`t have a fix, in fact i was looking for the same problem... i have to use another JS in order to connect...

You have to change the ip from MU.EXE in order to use that. Then you can play the game by pressing START.
Example here:

You can use your vps ip, no problem for that, but you might use no-ip.com, make a free host there, and use that domain name, example: myserver.no-ip.com (wich is you IP).
You don`t need the Microsoft Loopback adapter, nor any router. Good Luck!
