this is the PangYa Indo client i use to play on my LAN server, for the "i-dont-know-how-to-hex-the-client" people i've added a tool to launch the client with. ( Credits for this tool go to CHINA_DCSS_PANG! )

How to create a *.reg file to edit the client version in your registry?

1) Create a new text file.
2) In the text file add the following lines

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ntreev\PangYa]
"ver"="2.14g"

3) Save the text file.
4) Rename the text file (+ extension) to pangya.reg
5) Double-click the pangya.reg file
6) Click YES
7) Click OK

Now the version should be changed to v2.14g in your registry.
To change it to a diffrent version just use a diffrent version number in the pangya.reg file.

How to launch the client to connect to your server?

1) start up the launcher.
2) Select "English", if u dont u prolly wont understand anything of the entire tool :D
3) Press "Browse..."
4) Target the unpack.exe!!! (yes unpack.exe, not ProjectG.exe)
5) Uncheck "Set ServerIPs with SameIP"
6) Fill in the ip address you want to connect to in the 3 text boxes
7) Check "Set ServerIPs with SameIP" again.
8) Edit the Current Version to the version you need to play on the server (for my server it's version 2.14g)
9) Press "Save and Run"

I hope this helps a lot of people with the entire client issue...

Fantastic, this works, apart from 1 problem

I can log in, I can select server to play on but whatever game I choos the games crashes with an "exception error occured" message box

any ideas?

Be sure you edit the version to the correct version in your register and launcher.
you can find the client version in the SQL database Bn_Game in the table, i think it was called, PangYa_Server_List or PangYa_Server_Config.

PROPS to ya

I got this working finally W00T!

now all I have to do is work out a way to amend my character stats so i can play at my normal control level etc...

one issue i found once is when you have just started with a new account your character has all stats on 0.
To fix it, just add cookies or Pang to your account using one of the top 2 tables in the PY_Billing database and buy a new character with it, the stats will be normal and you can buy the items you use on regular pangya server, and play with "your own" character.
