Are you using Microsoft Bob or why is this such a problem?

Just close the server windows and re-launch the applications as Sarah describes it. Alternatively you can also try typing "exit" or "quit" into the console windows which will also cause the servers to shutdown.

If you want to reload/rehash the configuration without restarting the server, have a look at the GMtool interface...
