    Indexing The DataBase

    Can anyone tell me how to index my database i know it will need to be done sooner or later. Im using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Processor Ed.

    The tables are already indexed (see the base SQL queries that fill the database).

    Please elaborate what you want to do; at least I find it hard to follow the post.

    Basically A Defrag of the database over time stuff gets clutterd and needs to be Re Indexed or short term defragged so its basically im asking how to defrag a database.

    If you want to optimize your db you can play with maintenance plans (dont know if these are bundled in express version tho)

    Shrinking the database seems to be the most efficient way to achieve this.

    You can either do that through the Management Studio (Tasks submenu) or by establishing a DAC and running DBCC SHRINKDATABASE.
