My mean is: Is it enough to ask people to learn a bit and try to contribute, instead of just leeching the work we devs have ? because from what I see, me, canon, and a few others are the only contributors to this section, but we do have TONS of people just asking for the files that we spent time and money to dev. is it fair ?

I admit I don't hang out in all the sections on here (and I'm only active in Pangya and Zen Fen Shen sections thus far) but there always seem to be more "end users" than there are active contributors. I can't really say whether that's fair or not, but it seems to be the way it goes, especially with closed projects.

I'd love to help if and where I can, btu I'd have a whole lot of learning to do. Like I said before, my knowledge is limited. If you check the Zen Fen Sheng section, however, you would see that i'm not against "having a go at it" where i can...

Sorry for the double-post, but what CAN we actually do to help?

As I see it, at this point, we have two sets of server files hosted here : A set with mixed-version binaries, and a set from LegacyGamers which (as far as I can tell) are v2.15x binaries and a v2.14x database.

We have a PHP Webmin script that's working fairly well, thanks to Vegas_castle, and we have Shaldy's ASP-based webmin (maybe I'm just too nub with IIS but I never got this workign 100%).

Technically what we need is a set of matching server/client/db files (which you say you have), then development could actually continue.

I'm not against learning some PHP/SQl coding if need be, but that'll take a while.

    Cheers,
    [RECCA421]

[EDIT] - I saw somewhere a translated language file for the indonesian client, but it seemed to be a bit outdated. I might try to make a translation, but it'll take a while.

dev can start whenever people want to, and not from a pre-made point.

that's why it is called DEVELOPMENT.

    Re: Pangya Section Ressurection

For the ones interested in dev:

We can split it in some parts:

    Analysis
    Study
    Database
    Communication structure
    Crypting/Decrypting
    Packing/Unpacking
    Coding

Any C/C++/C#/VB programmers outside ? Any SQL server wiz there ?

    If so, undeadshadow@hotmail.com
