If your server already works locally (as in: you can play on 127.0.0.1), be sure to...
- change the IPs in the servers' INI-files
- change the IP in the ProjectG.exe
- forward the ports in your router/firewall.

The WAN guide should help you with this if you're unsure what to do.

You can also use Proxifier + AntiNAT if you don't manage to make the WAN guide work for you.

If your using Hamachi (not sure if this is the correct way, but its how I did it and it worked perfect) You have to change your server .ini's to your hamachi IP and then hex the hamachi IP into the projectG and it should work.

Changing ports to your Hamachi IP should be the correct way.

That's how hamachi works, it assigns a new IP to your PC, so use it as you would use your actual WAN IP.
Although I wouldn't suggest Hamachi if running a serious public server, but for playing with some friends it works very well.

If i read it correctly, you use the IP 127.0.0.1 on your server files everywhere.

you try to connect through your hamachi IP.

Obviously it says server is down.

Here is your situation:

<127.0.0.1 aka Server>

Client ------> <Hamachi IP>

The client connnects to an IP which isn't the IP your server listens on.
If you'd hex your client to ip 127.0.0.1 it would work most likely.
What you have to do is use your hamachi ip in all server configs.

Your problem is actually very simple.
If you look at your configs, your SQL password is supposed to be "EDIT YOUR PW HERE!" which i strongly doubt.

This is what will happen:
The server tries to login to SQL using the user "sa" and the password "EDIT YOUR PW HERE!". The connection to SQL fails because your credentials aren't correct, so your server can't start.

You then try to login to a server which is not running.

That's why you get the message.

Edit your SQL password in the configs and it should work.
