    Jolt v2

Hi, I didn't know where to post this (because the dev section doesn't have any threads?), so i decided to post here.

Anyways, some of you may know me. I was a developer of RZRS.

For the past few months, I've been working on a completely new server, notably named "Jolt v2".

Project website: Jolt - RuneScape Emulator

Jolt v2 supports all features from Jolt v1 include alot more. Such as OODBMS (Object oriented database management system), Our own Networking API, a scripting system, and many more!

My goal is to keep it as closely emulated to RuneScape as possible.

A complete list will be availible soon (When i cba to write it).

    Anyways,
I will keep you guys updated with Jolt v2 :)

This server has a good probability of being a RaGEZONE endorsed server. AJ is the man who ran RaGESCAPE before. Only reason why it went down was because of hardware issues

would be great to have a developer log / svn and have a list of functions -> parents -> description list.

i myself would like to just go around fixing systems and correcting values rather than core development ;) but its a start at least.

God, what is wrong with Java? C# depends on the windows API, 'nuff said

Good luck with this though, I'm not fond of windows but you may be able to find performance.

Edit: I'm actually sad people are bringing windows into linux more-so then they already had. :(

Edit2: Although I do wish you the best of luck sir.

C# is my language of preference over java.

If you are just a player, then it doesn't matter to you. If you are a developer/owner, then either you use Mono, or use Windows.

It can't get any simpler than that.

    Re: Jolt v2

I agree with AJ, preference of language is preference

Also welcome back AJ, you've been up to alot of work it seems since you last were around, I'm loving what I'm seeing, and I can only imagine the performance is rather high with Jolt?

Much like Dan says, I'd support a move to re-implement Jolt as the base of a RZ server.

Sorry for the late reply, pretty much bed bound for the last few days, disgusting flu .... Worse in men I say! :P
