Real Development
Hey guys me again!
Well how about the mods start up a svn,
Or wiki where information about 317 and perhaps another popular
revision is documented.
And perhaps create a webclient that connects to /server irc.ragezone.com -j #runescape or something
So people have a place to go to discuss instead spamming the forum with random questions.
Hope somebody finds this a good idea or even has a better idea?
SVN - Pro: clean only certain people., Con: Well only certain people can submit you have to wait for a mod..
Wiki - Pro: everybody can submit and update, Con: Some people might abuse it.

Re: Real Development
I actually think this is an awesomly smart idea Thugie, we could in theory use github, as that seems to be popular these days for revision control etc.
And the wiki's can be controlled aswell, given they're setup right, only certain folk can actually submit data to them! Then you don't get the runewiki problem >.>

Re: Real Development
Hey,
Never really used or seen github being used.
So if a moderator could set up a basic plan as to where store what info and in what format.
We could of course also discuss this on the forum.
I will not set it up as it seems more something to be controlled by the moderators of the section.
Also wont apply for moderator.
As i often drop out..
Because of work/gf/life/interesting other projects :D

Re: Real Development
Well I was discussing this with Dan last night (ghosty dan
) and I believe he isn't too keen on the idea of a svn, as they usually fall apart/to the side, however I suggested a wiki, to gather our ramblings, which he seemed to be interested in!
So i'll take a look into what can be done, I know there are alot of freewiki's available, but i'd be unsure of reliablity, or it's a case of buying webspace etc.
I'll do some research! Unless ofcourse someone else finds any wikispaces of decent usability!
