I would suggest getting people who play the game to come back. Where there are a lot of players, developers are sure to follow.

I don't really have anything in mind but passing this school year. Just started Monday.
OnTopic: I won't be able to help much because of school work and home work.
After working with RageScape I've hated this development scene. Not because it's not interesting or fun, but ... from a developer's perspective, what prevented me from actually doing cool stuff was the lack of understanding of the RuneScape protocol. All I saw was messy sources, and a bunch of kids that barely had an idea what they're doing. Well documented information would have helped a great deal.
...would also love to see some sort of collaborative development between developers that actually know what they're doing... preferably in something that is not Java.
The main reason, Roy, that we stick to java is because that's the language that is running the platform. RuneScape itself is purely run in java, with RMI-driven c++ components.
A documentation of the protocol is needed. There are some, but the problem is that there's a global lack of standardization. I like old school, some here like 500+.

Come back Roy. If you want a source a certain way get the developers here together and tell them what you want. Any project you'd start would get a crapload of support. It just may be the thing to make this forum known. If we can come out with an organized source using something other than java as Meth0d said.

if i knew how to code C# i would use jolt and dev something good but i never had time to learn C#, maybe we could try to get other devs from other sites to come here.
