since f1 menu is only background and buttons... this f1 menu has nothing to do with redlight.
It's looking good Bird, you are getting better :) Smooth design. Just a bit strange that the navigation is on such a strange position. I think you are trying to have a "special" design like this which is really cool. In my opinion a f1 menu has to be fast and clear.
To have a fast and clear design there are some things you should remember: 1. content window has to be focused and as big as possible.
2. navigation is only to navigate and shouldnt be in the content window like this.
3. borders. You are using good borders on your itemslots. Borders are important to clearlly seperate stuff. In your case you should get a border between navigation and content.
However, nice work, keep going.
