So what's use of not releasing sauce...
Got it all setup and been playing for a hour or so without crashes, seems really good and the quest modes etc are freaking awesome, very well done! 10/10 for contribution!
Yea but still we as a community need to check for vulnerabilities and crashes so we can report them to DelPa and maybe get an updated version every now and then?
I'm guessing this is why this was released.
good so good
Can anyone help me for my chars ?
Lawl.
Okay, thanks.
In my opinion, this was released because:
The entire base was already bugged anyway. I don't think DelPa felt a use in updating this emulator as the base will not be able to support more than 100 clients because it uses a connection-per-thread structure for each client (synchronous send/recv).
This means that if you flood a connect() request to the server, it will not be able to serve anymore requests, eventually dying out / crashing.
It also spawns a lot of threads, which isn't a good thing.
It also does not contain any try/catch exception blocks. If an error occurs, it just stops working and crashes.
Emulators can beat official files as possibilities are endless, and official files always has bugs (e.g. 07, 08 files). If you ever find a bug in an emulator, you can usually fix it right on the spot. :)
I doubt anyone could "stabilize" the source as the base needs an entire rework anyway.
Great Release dude imma give you a big Thanks!.
