MEF Dumper v2.0X

Evolved from how I was dumping MEF files a few months ago, MEF Dumper should be the easiest way to dump MEF files from any MRS file.

Without going into detail, the client is modified to fwrite the contents of filelist.xml.mef (the first MEF file loaded by the client) and exit. I'm hiding nothing, so if you have any questions about what I did, send me a PM, or comment below.

I don't care to compete with the other tool avaliable, but if you've had problems using that, use this.

Rename your MRS file to 'system.mrs', and copy it into the directory you extracted the contents of my attachment to. Then run it to bring up the MEF selection. The dump is written out to 'dump.txt'.

I've had to upload it to sendspace, as RaGEZONE caps files at ~1 MB (MEF Dumper v2.01 is 1.4 MB):

@Wesman22*** I hope I'm right, but GunZ loads all the files into it's memory. When it loads it, you can gather all the information, and dumps it from memory. Something like that.

It runs like a regular Gunz client, which starts by unpacking filelist.xml in order to start checking which files it has. I change where it assumes filelist.xml.mef is and save the unpacked MEF file to a file.

I don't have any update plans, other than to make commandline arguments for batch processing.

you dont have to update this. It basically runs like another gunz client, meaning even if the client updates youll be fine because you dont need Gunz to run it xD

Works perfectly fine with any of the MEF files from the latest BR Gunz system.mrs.

Also, this is a generic dumper, and unless I want to add any new features (see above post) then there won't be another release.
