Why does the magazine look weird around the bottom?

That´s a special feature he added. When you press alt+f4 in-game there will be comming an incredible large laser out of the so called ''weird-bottom''

With this laser you can make a hole in the wall and get out the map. There was something else with this ''weird-bottom'' but I forgot what it was? Someone mind helping me?

Gun itself looks nice, maybe the scope is a bit too blocky but I don't think you notice that in-game.
